    My near miss

In the eyes of the law is it the persons fault for letting them out or the one pulling out not looking? If someone flashes me out at a junction and the view is blocked, i always wait. But then the person letting you out gets pissed off then because you've not trusted them. You can't win sometimes.

Like a multi-coloured rainbow effect on them.

    My near miss

The black car didn't help by stopping to let him out. Bit weird how he just stopped even though the line of traffic was moving up ahead of him.

Burning smell of oil 04 182

Oil on the exhaust manifold would have burned off by now, but worth a look just in case.

    Cage bolt in/weld in? Daily?

You'd be daft to fit a bolt in cage without spreader plates either side of the shell.

    The Best Track day Tyre

If you want to be really quick in the wet, get yourself some Dunlop full race wets.

    The Best Track day Tyre

They're basically an R888 but with more tread.

    The Best Track day Tyre

The AR-1 from Nankang are too cheap to pass on really. £70, that's on par with the AD08r really and that's a good road/track tyre.

    The Best Track day Tyre

I'd just stick with what you have now and go with the Toyo R1R as a wet tyre.

    Tim's Forged LY R26

Wheels and tyres look great! Don't forgot to clean out the paint/powercoat from the wheel bolt tapers, stops them coming loose on track.

    Can't find right pads?

A new backing plate either 5" or 6" then you can use whatever pads you want. The Chemical Guys Hexlogic pads are good for dual action machines.

    Melted spark plug!! Causes?

Odd one this, as i'm sure a lot of people use the circuits 'super unleaded' and not had problems. I use Oulton's fuel quite a lot and it seems ok. There must be some tolerance built in to the map to allow for slight fuel differences, even V-Power from station to station could vary. Possibly...

Wheel Studs - On a Road Car

Just get bolt to hub, hub centric spacers. Studs are ideally meant to be replaced every race season in motorsport, so you'd have to factor that in with daily wear and tear (potholes/s**t roads).
