im glad there was love for the old mk1 guys!! im going to try and make this build better!! take my time more and better parts etc!!
and dont worry dude, ill bring a cushion to the next meet it attends ;)
just gave it a little clean, paintwork have come up really nice, but i was amazed how much...
I had noticed this!! clearly have good taste!! lol
cheers dude!! i loved your red ph1, and the 2118s on you 172 make me happy in my pants! :o
think im gna give it a clean, even though it might rain at any moment, its looking abit mouldy after fitting for months on end! lol
i love how these threads get side tracked!!
go on the non-sport thread in the media section if you needs some inspiration!!
just dont go down the typical new driver route of massive chav wheels, horrible aftermarket lights and other tacky cosmetic bits!!
like i did when i was 17 :o
get some...
thanks, you answered one of my upcoming questions about the colour :P
theyre on the bay for 160, i could probs push for £60 for my standard sent 2nd hand and buy a new set for the same price!! lol
Im sure some of you will remember my previous two projects.
ph1 non-sport
Track mk1
Well as of july this year i hung up my driving gloves for good because i was off to university, i broke up my F7R valver and put the money to one side for my next project, which was always going to be...
im with everyone else,
put a sport kit on it!!
perhaps with a ph2 back end!
CC ph2 door strips
put the standard mirrors on,
and get a set of sport headlights, just change the wiring slightly!!
then drop it to the floor on coilovers and it will be epic win!! lol
looks like a pretty good project mate!! youre doing similar mods to my plans!
but seems silly to fit arb, and topmounts,
with ktec coilies?! theyve not got a very good reputation!
i cut down my own loom in my mk1! will be doing it again to my mk2 track car. its stressful stuff, but nothing overly complicated!
all i did was made sure everything worked whilst unplugged then slowly and carefully worked back through the loom to the fuse box, the only thing that becomes an...
plugs, coil, lambda would be where id start!!
easiest thing to do would be plug it into a diagnostic machine! and lights on?!!
ps, there are much better places to post this
if theyre plastic, couldnt you just cut them out with a saw??
just cut the inner lip that you cant see back as far so you deem fit with a small saw, and let the tyres scrub the rest away!
people completely lack imagination these days!!
this has been covered far too many times! lol
why dont you just wait till next year and buy some good coilovers??
theyre cheap, obviously you get what you pay for and theyre good value, but theyre still cheap!!
your car will most likely handle worse on these compared to the standard 172...
kinda with you on this, it was a bit unethical of ktec to begin with,
buying up all the remainding stock of a product and selling it on at a massively inflated price!! lol
