And mine, cage clamp plus odd bits from an old cheap car phone holder to get it near eye level and being able to tweak the position. Have ordered a bracket to add to this for a rear facing camera in the same position....
Was going to ask about whether you managed on your own or dragged in folk to help as a pit crew. Shows it can be done on your own then. Great that you were problem free.
Hi Mark, wasn't aware you could do this, any pointers/links, found one but the link seems to be dead....? Cheers

This is just an electronic version of what's needed to meet MSA regs (mechanical switch being the cheaper alternative), but it is useful to trigger it when I leave the car stored for some time. I still have to top up the battery on the charger/conditioner over longer periods though, the...
Just to follow up on my install, might be useful to someone reading this in the future.
After going with a lower seat sub-frame on the passenger side, and with a fire extinguisher already installed closely in front of that seat, the position of the seat ended up too upright and uncomfortable...
I didn't bother with a new bracket, just bolted them seperately into the back of the front cross member - just check, I didnt take a picture of it I'm afraid.
It's results and the many recommendations I've been seeing like this, which makes me realise I'll be carting mine on a trailer 250 miles north back to my home town to get it mapped by EFI [emoji6], plus he can unlock the ecu too.
Good luck this weekend.
I bought the previous non-wifi model to this may be two years ago to permanently mount in the car, I recognise the boxing, it's been faultless. (My opinion) All of these cameras are probably off of the same production line anyway, just branded for each batch order. If the software version...
I'm in a similar boat.
@Dan@SJM could you confirm, are you able to unlock them and does this involve sending them off therefore a period of days to do the job? thanks.
I second this.
I'd love to get a bike again, but that conversation (safety) happened when the second rugrat came along and well the bike was then consequently sold :(
Thanks for the heads up. TBF, I'm starting to think the same way, also want the tyre rack and box, so probably better wrangling a deal as a new purchase and look after it.

Me too, hard to find a good deal on a used one at the mo, or my ebay search skills are simply crap. Where else to look?

Same approach as @Fletcher and @scotiamr2t for me too. Just about to buy a trailer myself but would want to be still be able to test any mods/changes, plus blow the cobwebs off and rust off the discs now and then. :)
Bloody hell mate talk about bad luck, credit for not giving in until you really had no choice but to do so. There's always another day.
I agree, good mates are priceless and something not to take for granted. It's something I realise and miss after moving away many years ago, hats off to the...
'Well impressed' to say the least, I do like the oil and box cooling... ...tbf I'm loving the whole car, the attention to detail, engineering solutions and breaking from the norm is great. Looking forward to seeing the footage and maybe one of these days in the flesh too [emoji108]
Mark, any insight on the conrod bolts too? 70-80 quid on 8 ARP bolts!! - are they that special?
Also I think the OP was referring to the head studs, although good to know about the main bearing bolts ;)
I bought my powerflex black series bushes from ECP, can order from local branch but they will just ring the Wembly branch who do more of the specialist parts. They don't come up on the online search but you could be cheeky and ask them to apply the midmonth20 20% discount and deliver to local store
