Isn't it funny how everybody reckons everyone else is wrong, might as well give them their opinions [LOL]
Tbh i think every rs has its good and bad points, and in all honesty if i had to get rid of the vee i would take any of the others, maybe bar the ph1 172 as i don't like the looks.
But for a...
Hate to disagree, but 200/197 are equally as much as many vee's? Can pick up ph1 for 182/trophy money.
And why not vote for what you have, you brought it for some reason.
I voted for the vee, obviously a biased view, but i have had a 172, 197 cup and vee, all good cars, but the 172 and 197 i...
My old 197 cup had the glove box issue, though when i sold it that was the only squeak it had, not bad for a 14month old renault! Also never experienced the kangarooing issue, so its a usual renault buying lottery!
The worst part about the experience was the economy, on the upside it prepares...
Saw one at 8am on the hanford roundabout, which i later found to be the holdcroft demo, i thing this must be matt who picked his up a week or two ago, as i was at holdcroft @ 10am and the ag 200 was still there.
Used my vee last couple of nights to go to work, my words before i left last night were 'its not going to snow tonight', couple of minutes later it started snowing and ended up leaving the works car park sideways, it did rectify the poor turning circle though ;)
Tbh i would not go TPFT, you pay over a £1K and if you bin it (lets hope not) you will then have a bill for increased insurance and a new car. Like some have said get a ph2 172 and go fully comp on insurance, keep it a while then look at trading up.
The clios are not about punishing straight...
Re: How often do you hear this..
Every night at work by my 2 bosses, or the other favourite is "Got a matching hand bag"
Tbh i don't give a crap what they say- just jealous!
I've had mine for 6 weeks and done 2200 in it, i find it very useable and unless doing something very stupid in the wet easy to drive, the grip in the dry easily rivals my old 197 cup and has a lot more character! So much in fact i actually 'forget' when pootling around its a vee, much quieter...
Don't think i have a photo of the exhaust, the pipes come to about where the original renault one sits in the surrond. Don't know about cost as this was a k-tec test run for the 200 so was free!
