Last time mine went in for a service, the radio was re-tuned, and a packet of refreshers went missing from my glove box. Would have made me mad, but the refreshers are only 20p a pack. The valet boy must have needed the energy. did a good job anyway.

Just a different brand. Doesnt make any difference in bhp. Bit like telling them you are using optimax.

Saw the other posts with the pictures of it installed. There seem to be a lot more bits comming out of the engine than standard. Does installing this mean taking the engine apart?

Could be grated syncromesh. Where is the gearbox oil leve? is there such a thing? Thought Herds would have picked that up on the service.

Herds in Basingstoke said I needed a new sump gasket. (Hope that is not just the sump drain washer....) Anyway. I am now finding gear change is not quite so definite. Sometimes I wont be able to find the gear, and sometimes I will think it is in, and it turns out to still be in neutral...

Anyone know of any alternatives to the crap 172 headlamp washers? 1 - The Balls fall out. 2 - They are UGLY! 3 - Keep catching them on clothing. Is there a more sensible or better looking alternative (without removing them) ? Have they come up with anything better for the 182?

Can BenR still get the build specs of each clio based on the chasis or registration numbers? That will tell you if they were in the car as it left the factory. Think it was BenR anyway.

I like the nobs who put their car in for stupid prices, because they cant place the advert properly. If you look at the link, about two-thirds of the way down (after the "cars for 12 ppw" adverts, there are some ads for cars that only seem to cost £12....(Audi A4 and a Toyota Landcruiser)...

Mate of mine said to insure the number plate seperately, as if you write off the car it will be written off as well. Not answering your question, but a (possible) interesting point to take note of with a private plate.

Probably turn out that you just had a loose plug on the accellerator pot. I have pulled mine off while idling, and the car sat at a constant 3000rpm (i think. it was a while ago). Had to switch off after plugging it back in.
