......So:
If the wind was blowing at 190mph in the direction you were going
And you were on a slight downhill slope (the sort that might cancel out gravity and most friction)
And had squeezed your 21" wheels on...........
Could you get to 200 mph in a clio 172?
Based on the 172 having 16" wheels and a top speed of about 144mph (by gearing), I guess you would have to increase the circumfrance by 25% to get to 200mph.
so...
16" * pi = 50 inches
Add another 13" to the circunfrance...63.
Divide it by pi....and you get about 20". So yes, 20" wheels...
Noooooo! Not a BMW.
Dont be a wank3r!
You will have to learn to drive really badly, and pull out without signalling, and go 65 in the middle lane at all times, and pull into the right lane at the last minute, and park in 2 spaces, and cut people up on roundabouts...
You will driver the...
I think most of us think they are fantastic.
Mine is awesome.

<RANT> Why didnt Renault just whack the 225 engine in a clio, rather than tease another 10bhp from the engine? If it was a Clio 225, then I might want to buy one, where as now it is just a 182 so I dont.... </RANT>
Getting ANOTHER car means you will not be able to transfer your no claims, as your no claims can only be associated with one policy. You will be rated as a newbie.
Getting another less/un modified one gives you a blank canvas, you will be unable to refrain from modding it.
Getting a NEW car...
Is your fuel economy really bad then Phil?
I know some people say they are CRAP, but I like the Ecotek. When it is turned off, I get at leat 2mpg less (34 goes down to 32), which works out about 20 miles per tank.
Also...only half fill your tank. That way you are transporting less fuel...
Jamesww, unless you are going to get a golf r32 or vr6, then you will be dissappointed.
Had mine 2 years. Only problems been the drivers airbag warning light (after an emergency stop) and the brake warning light when I get up to 130.
I get in the car and I smile and giggle, all the way to...
My old Metro gti/mpi was at 4500rpm at 70. Did get there in 8.5 seconds though.
My 172 is at 3200 at 70, and my old RT8v was 3500 at 70.
My 900cc polo (first car) never got to 70.
Yeah, was a bit random. Think I was a bit tired. Or the other guy in work sabotaged my post.
182 b****cks still winds me up. I saw some posts on here about 6 months ago about the Williams turbo, and the people that test drove it were not impressed with its gains.
I think it is about 4 litres+. I have had to refill with a couple of 2l coke bottles before. (with screen wash/water in, not coke!)
Wonder if the cup is smaller, to save in weight.
