the viper is cold air feed. And my car ran like pants with it on. ecu just cannot cope with the extra air without a remap.

i took mine off car drove like a dog mpg was down to 26. I think you need to do all 3 mods at the same time to work, ecu, exhaust, induction.

the ecu does not work in a mk2 2 172 still. They have tried it and it f*cks up the engine. WHy i do not know. Also the rsport ecu does not take into account a sports exhaust or induction. which is poor.

I did phone them to ask if it takes into account a sports exhaust and Induction chip. And it does not, so imo its a complete waist of time as most people do 3 things, Exhaust, Filter/Induction and ECU. Looks like its back to london superchips for me then.

Yes I think the Utopia looks the best of all. I looked at 4 or 5 and was so close to having the renault double one (second choice). But I picked the Utopia in the end. can any one lend me £160 for the eibach kit, looking at the pictures it does need to lose 20 or 30 mm. DOH

ok i have viper induction kit and ktec exhaust systems. some cars have been known to run lean so i am told. (will have to get my car checked over) If it is the case i see 3 ecu options. 1: k-tecracing 2: Hill power 3: Super chips London Any thoughts on the matter ????

you cannot remap the lambda sensor its just a sensor.!!!!! you can only put a new map into a programmable ecu. And i do not rate super chips at all. the only way to map an ecu is on rollers and that will not work very well because there is no forced induction. I cannot see a viper making...

only 150hp not quick at all but nice inside. you can chip them to 180 though. the s3 is 225 and can be chiped to 260hp which is usefull power.

you need a tyre temp gauge. what you are after is a uniform tyre temp across the whole tyre. messure at 3 points outer middle and inner. you need to play around abit as different makes of tyres need different pressures. if you do have them to hard wet traction will be undrivable but you...

i have one for my lotus and they do work. But i have ordered a piper one for the 172 as they look the same and are a bit cheaper.

simon is right tesco charge by the %bhp so even with exhaust and piper on you are still under the 10% rule which will be about £60 or so.
