What can you do to this excessive wear go away? The problem comes (like Ford CVH engines) from oil lub failure at the head? Moding the oil pump for more oil pressure would do it?

dont know if yours inlet manifold and TB is up to the 120bhp mark. It needs checking... mesuring.
I would say that head work...
you need to bore open by a little the inlet manifold. Also you need to get a custom chip (only if your ecu is a siemens) because the std one isnt up to the job... it would be running lean at high rpm.
I got my laguna TB + laguna inj for 60quid... in spain.

its a shame that renault does not have anything turbo between the 1.4 GTT and 2lts R21 turbo.
there is somewhere a volvo 1.7lts turbo I think.. dont know if its any good.
There is no need for too much care about this... its so dead simple and who cares if it shines or not??? its underneath the car and waiting to be hit by mud, dust and whatever you run over. :)
Besides... luckly here we dont have the problems you have concerning rust....

Final_Maxim, take a post a picture of your engine. This way we know if your engine is MPI or SPI.
Bluepete, you got me confused. Hillpower has got two stages for the RT. Stage 1 gains 12-15bhp, so it will have somewhere like 92-95bhp at the end.
Stage 2 reaches 95-98bhp?! if so, its similar...
Final_Maxim, what 1.4i you have? is this the RT (energy 1.4 8v with SPI)?

you can try modifying your throttlle shaft and throttle plate screws. This screws disrupt air flow so you can take them out and weld the plate through its holes using TIG so it wont bend the plate and shaft. Also you can cut down one half of...
mine once started to have a lumpy idle, sometimes even went off when stoping at some trafic lights.
I made the usual service (oil, oil filter, washed air filter and changed fuel filter) and it started idling fine again.
After that I let all fuel out the fuel filter and found out it was way...
72000miles to change the cambelt seems too much.
I always change the cambelt half time renault says it should. In this case would change at 36k miles.
Its better safe than sorry.

Try this guys...
You only need bigger injectors if your std ones are going above 85% of their limits. Even if this happens, you can still get a PBV and get the fuel pressure at the rail by 0,5bar more.
this should be checked on RR with a fuel pressure gauge, wide lambda sensor while remaping 27C256 eproms...
