My seems to have started doing this too - again, only recently.
It will turn over a couple of times, sound like it's going to start, so you let go of the key, then it dies. Try again and it's fine.
Either that or it turns over a few times, you think it's going to start so you let go of the...
Try also oiling the hinges for the boot rattle. Mine rattled ages ago, but not if you drove with the boot open - so naturally I assume it was the latch - tries everthing to stop it and eventually oiled the boot hinges as a last resort and it went away! Never been back since. Wierd.
You can buy them all over the place. Mine is coming from here :

Same price as the Road Angel. Not sure I'd specifically that recommend that website, but I don't have any choice in the matter right now.
Someone else on here (also called Rob iirc) wrote a review of the Snooper.

Just search for "snooper" (or road angel navigator I guess)
Don't do it!!!!!!
I've just sent mine back to exchange for the Snooper Indago, which will hopefully be better.
Crashed on me a few times, found a few bugs in their software (one which Blackspot admitted was quite bad), plenty of "little" things that annoyed me about it.
Just my opinion ;)...
Their "fair usage crap" says something about only throttling it during peak times or something I think. I hope thats true as I do use p2p now and then.
:bump:
So I phoned snooper (I think) - it was the free phone number on their website anyway - and a guy told me that they do have a qwerty keyboard, and you can do multi-stop trips.
Can anyone who owns one confirm this?
It was a bit of an odd phone call thats all! They answered straight...
Here I go again!
Does it have a qwerty keyboard? I've only seen pictures of it with an alphabetic one.
Can it handle multi-stop trips? i.e. goto place A, then B, then C without having to stop at each place and reprogram it? or some kind of waypoint mode?
And to those people who've got...
I think you need to use javascript to do that. I've a feeling the command is called newwin() and you can specify the size you want it to appear.
Doesn't work on all browers though as some people (like me) turn off Javascript window resizing.
Is it just me, or do they look just the same as the other models?
I know the 172/182 don't exactly look a lot different to the other models, and thats one of the reasons why I like them. But the 197 just looks identical to the standard models :( Maybe they are different in the flesh...
I'm sure I've seen a few threads on here about this problem but I can't remember what the fix was - have you tried searching around a bit?
EDIT:
like here http://cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134992
Not thumb grips, but the leather (or whatever kind of imitation stuff it is) started to kind of melt and wrinkle just by the thumb grips and went all tacky. Got the wheel replaced under warranty - car was about 2.5yrs old at that point.
Something to do with the settings of the Master/Slave jumpers on you harddrives? Maybe Vista is more "picky" than XP if they are wrong.
Otherwise try plugging one HDD into the 1st IDE controller and the other into the 2nd controller (assuming you have two...)
Or get something like Partition...
My 172 never seems to use any. I've not topped it up in 14 months of ownership - been changed once in that time.
My old 1.2 Clio never used any either.
Seriously bad luck that. I'd be sooo mad if someone did that to me when they were just being stupid and going too fast in a car park.
This would have been a better way to get at him rather than trying to get more money out of insurance - can't you phone the police and say you've changed your...
I've never seen it that high before! (Except when I've just rest the computer and coasted down a hill). But I usually manage 41mpg on long runs - motorway / A-road.
I think I'd get bored and put my foot down after about 60 miles.
Good post. Interesting to hear what might come next after the Clio.
As a few have said, I'd be looking at the Megane 225 and the Focus RS as well. I'd quite like a Golf R32 but I'd be afraid of it drinking the local petrol station dry one night. And aren't they fairly expensive?
