2 rattles i wanna sort

  www.renparts.co.uk
1. The tweeter on dashboard (driver side) can't seem to work out whats causing it.

2. Something in the boot, making a metal sounding rattle, thought it was the latch for the rear seats so put them down and now its a lot louser so i assume its from the boot

any help as to how to sort these greatly appreciated.

Maybe remove the tweeter and put a rubber washer around the base made out of bike innertube? Its more than likely the edge of the dash againt the windscreen or the sunvisor.

Bootlid catch would be my guess. quick coating of grease on the hook and mechanism in the lid will stop that

any help as to how to sort these greatly appreciated.

Hope that helps!

Cheers for that mate, tweeter noise is like a lil ball rattling round kinda noise, very intermittent, mainly get it in winter actually.

Your probs right actually about the boot, sounds just like that.

Regarding the boot catch, should you be aple to wobble the boot part up and down IE: the bit that the boot catch latches on to?

mine seems to do this aswell comes and goes now again but i seem to get the annoying rattle from the bottom of the glovebox where its fixed when you open the glovebox then press down hard it goes away but seems allmost you gotta allmost break it lol

Try also oiling the hinges for the boot rattle. Mine rattled ages ago, but not if you drove with the boot open - so naturally I assume it was the latch - tries everthing to stop it and eventually oiled the boot hinges as a last resort and it went away! Never been back since. Wierd.

its deff not the hinges. its the latch

should the boot latch (part thats attached to the car) be able to be wobbles or not? its same on mine and my brothers car where you can wobble it.

I bought a cheap innertube from halfords, cut it to size and pushed it between the dash and screen, stopped the noise i had that sounds like the one you've described.

the boot hinge needs moving up a little it causes it to rattle when the hinge has moved even a few mm
