lol heavy! I have an early small bumper model D plate which is the first of the valvers and these are actually more like cup weight 1020kg rings a bell, Yes in standard form they are slower than a 172/182 of any variety but they are clio valver pace, but you must be wary of these mk1/2 golfs as...
I have never had a go with a 172FF so I will not pass judgement but all I would add is, can FF etc drivers say that they do not notice (honestly)any performance difference with a 14stone passenger sitting beside them??? I know I can certainly notice the difference with a hefty passenger, which...
I have a REV2 k-tec stealth and I like it, when the car is cold it's barley louder than standard but once warm it does have a fairly deep tone up to 3k then it rasps a bit. All in all it's fine as a day to day system.
had mine since may/ish 2005. It had 7.5k on it then and it now has only 16k and I love it, I have recently spunked a few quid on it tho (performance) to keep the love affair strong.
mk1 fiesta 1300S T plate with XR2 running gear when I was 17, I am now 32 and I still have a mk1 fiesta supersport W plate running 1700 xflow turbo, these cars are my 1st love.
i'm running brembo HC discs with EBC greenstuff and I find the brakes superb, deffo an improvment over standard. I don't do trackdays tho this is just based on the odd bit of spirited road stuff etc.
the remap will give pretty decent(noticable) gains low down, torque and throttle response on mine from low revs is now great! I also have a k-tec SS exhaust and an ITG panel. Mine is a cup BTW.
i'm always surprised by these posts as my cup idles spot on and it's had a few tweeks it is also really responsive when cold infact moreso than it is when warm...........go figure.
and another from the land of the hairy haggis, BTW I cannot see the skill involved in rugby!!! as long as you're a big hefty b*****d you're onto a winner! and cricket is posh boys rounders, you would be as well having a national hopscotch team!
very nice!! i'm going to get another set of wheels in march and it has been a toss up between those in white (ET35 tho) and white prima maxi willy reps............prorace are lighter but I just love the maxi style curves!!
going by the low mileage over the last 3yrs I would say it probably just does short runs, this would account for the slight mayo in the filler cap! has the header tank got any mayo in it? and does the water look fairly clean i'e no oily deposits or discolouration/bubbles in it when running? if...
