I was searching for info on failed shift lights and found this thread. Then I read that you dared to say I was wrong. It seem Renault do actually agree with me.
Question is, what do you believe? A press release converted into pigeon english? Or TFM?
Either way... imho... if it is the...
The VXR's remind me over the 'MG Z*" range of recent times, in that it's a bit like the designers were short of time and money, and just crashed the standard cars into the the Ripspeed stand at their local Halfords.
I'm not saying the 200 is a thing of beauty ('cos it clearly aint!) btw.. but...
My 53 plate 172 had the fabled RS inlet from the factory. It was replaced with a matched item and it made sod all difference, if I'm honest. Decat was a much better mod in terms of tangible effect on how the car performed and cost.
Some people think that matching the inlets is a must-do mod...
In fairness, he's a bit outside the normal height range @ 6' 7"!! I bet he struggkes to fit in most cars!!
I'm just under 6', but have quite long legs. The driving position in th mk2 Clios is very compromised. I have to have the seat all the way back, but consequently that means I have to...
I had the same trouble... Do you use neat screen wash by any chance? I took my pump to bits (I was going to replace it anyway, so figured it was worth a butchers!) and there's a sort of shuttle valve that directs flow to either front or back depending on the direction of the motor. It's a small...
Without wanting to enter a willy waving contest, I got mine sprayed for a couple of packs of lager. Which I get for free. :rasp:
Seriously, though, for those of you with Iceburg MV640, there are several different revisions of this paint code. My sprayer got the Renault colour book (he builds...
How can you claim that working it out 'manually' is more accurate than the computer?
You can't trust the gauge - besides it doesn't have anywhere near enough resolution. You can't tell exactly how much fuel is left in the tank when you fill up, so you have no way of knowing if you will be at...
Not liking the wheels or the mesh but I think that colour suits the BINI.
As Rob pointed out, the lack of space in them is frankly shocking. The footprint of the car can't be any smaller than a Clio, yet there sems to be about half the room inside. When we go shopping we take the Clio as...
I fecking hate excel. Never really had to use it much until now. It can be a little b**ch for no reason sometimes. Seems to do s**t of it's own accord tbh. :o
The first Halo, on the original Xbox, was better than anything available on any console at the time. It was a million miles better than any PS2 shooter. And probably most PC shooters, too. It was original, have a wonderful feeling of 'open-ness', played brilliantly and looked good.
It just...
Never done it, but you need to buy the MS/Xbox cable iirc.
Here, but there may be cheaper alternatives.
You can alway sell it on once you're done with it, though.
Forget about numbers. Those mods will make for a much more driveable car. You'll notice it'll pick up better from much lower in the rev range.. will feel much more eager to rev.... but inreality you'll be lucky to gain a few hp
Cracking effort!
I'm in the "do not want" camp for the front bumper. For me you've taken the worst two bits from the respective front ends (ph1 lights and ph2 bumper) and combined them - and it just looks wrong imho.
T40 iir for the black one in the middle. I didn't have to loosen the 'gold' one, seats just slipped out.
Was hard work.. got a sweat on taking mine out! Used a combiation of mole grips and a 3/8" drive ratchet. No hassle. But then I work in a place that has 30 year old machinery in it, so...
Just plug both lambdas in. You may get the light, you may not. I didn't.
If it bothers you so much then buy a code reader to erase the fault when (if) it appears.
In all, 94,619 TRs were built, of which 86,249 found homes overseas (built to US Spec), only 8,370 being sold in the UK.
The TR7 sold more than the TR6.... a lot more. But it was very unreliable, had quality issues and was dropped as part of a trimming down execise by BL in the early 80's...
How about tw4t? I'm sure all your friends will thoroughly enjoy riding in it tbh.
Thank you very much. I'm here all week.
Seriously... How about Car? Or maybe Clio?
I'm pulling your pisser.... But you're right. The TR6 is one of the few soft-top motors that you can drive and still call yourself a man. Elegant it 'aint.
Top one's a bit much for my tastes tbh.
TR6. I have one.
Althouh it looks nothing like that lol Weren't the Yank models de-tuned to meet silly Californian regs? And carbs instead of 'PI'? Mines a '72 150 bhp model with o/d. Can't wait till I've got room to start restoring her!
Ths is beautiful
See I don't rate the way the ph1 handles at all.... It's so subjective!
having said that... in all honesty, you're not going to get any standard clio blow your mind in the handling dept, after a 106 GTi, imho.
