Mate give up, get a couple of years driving experience and NCB under your belt and think about upgrading then.
Paying that much for insurance is just crazy.
Your local motor factors, GSF, Euro Car parts or Halfrauds all sell them. Expect to pay anywhere in between £10 and £20 depending what pad you go for.
I would recommend Ferodo Premiers.
As said I was replying to the chap who started the thread initially but it is a usefull site for anyone.
I used it to insure my import Gen 6 Toyota Celica Convertible for a few weeks last Summer and it was hassle free.
I have never had to claim off it though and havn't heard any stories of...
Nice one Winston.
For anyone that doesn't understand Google 'Hoodride' and have a little read before posting your snotty little comments.
Love valver steelies! you need to slame it though! Ooh and get a new bonnet.... and keep it matt black!
Thats a big pile of blood!
I suppose if you are going to crash you might aswell do it properly. Atleast it was in a mk2 ph2 Clio, nice and safe. I'd hate to see what the aftermath of my valver in the same situation would be.

Will insure you on a monthly basis for about £130 a month.
Just read the above post. Think you have to be over 21 and have more than 12 months driving experience.
To be onest there is no 'cheap' way to do insurance when you are young. You just have to drive safely in a...
I had a Pipercross on mine for a while. Made a lovely sound but I found it actually lost me a bit of power.
Standard was far better. If you just wanta bit of noise then get a Pipercross.
Nice one. I think I may have too do this after the summer.
Although the valver is just becoming one massive money pit!!!
Diamond Geezer, did you used to have the marble painted, kitted Clio with the diamond exhausts that used to be around Harlow alot???
I would recommend Ferrodos. They are nice and cheao and do the job very well. It's what i used to run on 1.2 16v.
Don't buy Green Stuff pads they are a complete waste of time.
Do not get Green Stuff pads. I found them to be worse the standard pads. Even cheap Ferodos are better.
What sort of driving are you going to be doing?
I would stick with stock ones (or similar aftermarket).
If you like to drive fast and do the odd track day like me then I would recommend...

Can anyone tell me what colour wires are positive and negative. I don't want to go through the hassle of putting new speaker wire in and i'm seriously missing music whilst driving to work.
Right a friend of mine has lowered her mk2 ph2 dynamique on Spax coilovers. She has her inner arch/spash guard removed due to lot's of scrubaage.
She has now found that her wheel is rubbing agaisnt a cable. It's not the side repeater one as it's much bigger.
She has xenons could it be...
Sorry i never made it fella. brake pads were non existent and i couldn't find my locking wheel nut key to change them.
Despite the small turnout looked like a good day.
Quality not quantity.
I have a '92 Valver.
I had my bonnet up today and I thought i would see where this odd noise was coming from when I steer.
It turns out that when I turn the wheel the top mounts are turning.
Is this normal? I have never seen it before?
If not whats wrong?
