You need to check the terms and conditions of the warranty, it should tell you what is and isnt covered. Is it underwritten by anyone? I would imagine that you will be covered, The CV joint gave up on my Mazda and they replaced it under the terms of the warranty with no problems. Andy.

Didnt make that clear did I. Called Renault at a much more friendly hour (9am), but the call only took a couple of minutes much to my surprise. I still cant quite believe how jammy I was to get away such minor damage.

Not that I approve of such behaviour, but if you use a photography slave flash mounted correctly you can get the same effect as these properly marketed backflash systems. I know someone who did just this on his motorbike some years ago. He got a good quality slave unit and fitted it just above...
