mpg how many do u get

Mine is a 1.4 (8v) special edition that I believe was not sold in the UK called ICE (unfortunately no not named after some increase in the In car entertainment). Because of the constant heavy traffic in and around Milan I normally get around 35ish... Rob

your first ever car how sh*t was it !

Fiesta 950Pop..C reg cost 750 to buy and insurance was 850quid. Had it for 18months and put 26000mils on it visiting mates at Uni etc so pretty reliable. Needless to say after that my 2nd S1 RS Turbo was a little better. Rob

    109mpg!

I guess driving very very steady it could be possible. At my old company we had VW company cars and managed to get the average on a Bora TDI PD115 upto 73.6 after long run on A roads between 50-60mph in 6th. Rob

    109mpg!

I had one has a hire car for a week and a mixture of driving brought back something like 46.7mpg...not bad considering...I know they have potential for much higher but short-shifting and using the torque more.. Rob

Got Clio Back, feels very weird

Dave, I would give it a few miles to settle in before you rag it, obviously the whole top end is new and needs to bed in before taking to much...Obviously nothing like buying a new car but just give it a few miles first. Rob

800 Miles: How to slow down & Cruise

They normally quote a 1000-1500miles so you should be ok soon, mind you a mate of mine who bought a new BMW 320d was advised to thrash it from the start so it loosened up better...it has now done over 50,000 and well over half of them with a chip and never had a problem..

    wortk mileage in my car

Yeah when working in the UK we were on 49p but then dropped to 40p guess this was when they changed that tax system on it then..

WTF Clio cup vs Fiesta ST

No diesels are a completely different drive and like you say effortless as it all happens from just above tick over. A friend of mine has a BMW 320d sport which has been chipped, and that seriously flies...mind you anything with 200bhp and 300lb/ft of torque should. The standard 18in on the...

WTF Clio cup vs Fiesta ST

Note on the Skoda, that is through the gears...take a look at 30-50 (4th) or 50-70 (5th/6th) and I would imagine the figures to be closer..cos thats when the torque really makes itself felt.. [Edited by Rob555 on 12 January 2005 at 11:25am]

    New 182... 380 miles in 24 hours!

Thats nothing....granted not in a Clio but instead in a Merc Sprinter I drove back from Milan to the Midlands (996miles) in 16hours non stop..Thats what I call a running in, and a bit of varied scenery.

    Clio RSi vs 306 Xsi

I had a Citroen ZX Volcane TD (basically 306td) maybe a little lighter a while back and my Clio 1.4 (8v) would not see which way it had gone to be honest...it is just adapting your driving style to suit the torque band to get the best out of them..

    Is the 182........

I remember them doing the Mini Cooper vs the Fabia vRS, isnt that 11,995GBP..

    Knocking/wheelspin

Is this not what they call tramping, I had a Series 1 RST some time ago and that used to do the same..again on the in wet. Although that then used to overfuel as it bounced of the rev limiter and emit a nice flame from the exhaust aswell...:D
