Used gen discs and yeah had the spacer washer behind! It's not torqued to the correct setting so I can sort this. Looks like a caliper replacement too then!

Afternoon CS, I've replaced the discs and pads on the rear of the 172 but the rear os is not holding in handbrake? Cable has been tightened, the only thing I haven't done is bleed and replace fluid yet. Cable or caliper do you think?

You sure it's going to be the shaft? Just don't want to buy a gen shaft if I'm going to have the same problem :(

The clip is lose as hell, should probably get a new one. Does it look like the shaft needs to be pushed further intimate gearbox side?

If that's the case I'll get back to the seller as it's a brand new shaft with warranty! I'll double check what it's doing tomorrow aswel

Seems to be the same size. In one ofbthe videos you can actually see the gearbox spline moving with the shaft

Yeah everything is nice and tight. You feel as if I've pulled the shaft offs the spline? I got under and their is about a 10mm gap between the end of the shaft and the box spline

Should both sides engage? Thing is it doesn't even make a noise when it's in gear, so sounds as if that side of the box isn't actually trying to move?

Yeah bottom ball joint, track rod end and driveshaft hub nut. Including the holding bracket for the driveshaft!

The whole driveshaft does tend to move when I spin the disc so appears it's all in tact
