Common faults lay around the ns driveshaft as this hold the gearbox oil and also the gear selector input shaft.
Both fairly easy fixes I guess. Check these two first!
Getting ready to book the 172 in for belts and dephaser, was wondering if it's worth changing the water pump too or is this not going to be needed as such?
Price quoted from Ktec is £761.60 for all belts, dephaser and water pump supplied and fitted
I'll bare that in mind buddy - he could have had a wiring problem to be honest!
No Updates this week - but a lot in the pipe line, clutch cable to be fitted soon as well as a bumper respray and wheel refurb too

Bulbs seems to have good reviews tbh - never heard of flames from a xenon bulb tbh - if they pop it's just game over for the bulb. Couldn't sell them of they we're dangerous... And a 5 year warranty too.

Right ok - I'm going to have to pull it all out and look what's going on really.... No idea why there's only one wire really, only thing I can think of is thAt the wire I can see is not actually the horn wires I'm after.
Is the bottom left the horn wires?
I'm guessing it's easier to see what's going on if I take the cowling off and see, is that picture the front or back of the squib?
Yeah that's what I thought - should I run a red & black from the crimp, or split the wire into to and wire that way. I'm putting the OMP steering wheel back on as I'm having trouble with the airbag lights anyway so ill just resistor them.
Or is there a connecter I plug into the red crimp for the...

working on the project 172 yesterday, replaced the rear discs and pads but on the handbrake it doesn't appear to be holding the wheel very tight - I haven't checked if it's actually working fully on braking yet or even bled them.
Could this be a need to tighten the handbrake or...
