haha thanks justin, yeah its a UK car and has the standard renault locking wheel nuts as supplied on the cup alloys. i'll give the local dealer a call and see what they say,

its suddenly occured to me that i may not be have the wheel locking nut remover with my car! where is it normally kept? if the worse came to the worse do renault have any special tools or records in order to remove them?

just a note on cars that have been recorded on the insurance register as cat c or cat d. In an ideal world everyone would want to go and buy a brand new car with full warranty and then have no depreciation and sell it for what you bought it for. sadly (sighhhhhh :dapprove: ) its not really true...

well just been out to the car and checked the inner drivers door panel and got loads of information! how do i know what the paint code is? the 3rd one down on the left on my car is 3 letters and 2 numbers, is this right? it reads TED43
