Been having a bit crack with the lad tonight, and on the way home he put it into third and there was nothing. car was going into gear but no movement, towed it home. Think clutch might of went, hes only had car six days.
Is it complicated and expensive to put a new clutch in???
One of my mates has just bought a valver, totally standard apart from k&n. Hes wanting to know how to get the best out of valver, without dropping a 2.0 bottom end in(will be done in time not yet) So I thought this would be best place to ask. So any ideas on the best way to approach this project...
Stubod, I timed mine after reading this thread and was getting 23-24 seconds that was with a passenger and a sub the size of a small country in the boot.
Raced a primera gt other night had it to 100 then it flew past me, also raced a 1 litre charade dead heat to 115, then i edged him. it may not be as quick as a vts or 106 gti, but its a quick car! going hunting for a zetec-s tonight going to whoop its ass.

ive got a 1.6 clio, and the the badges say 1.6 16v on the side of the car, me mate s got some of the 1.2 badges that just say 16v i dont know wether to put them on to embrass some vtrs
Right just thought I would put a opinion in as well, I have raced all three cars in question in my 1600 16v not from a standing start but 30mph- onwards, my conclusion
