Quick Question? When a wheel bearing is on it way out, do you always get play in the wheel. The reason I ask, I'm getting a nasty grinding noise coming from the passage side of the car, and I'm not sure if it's the driveshaft or bearing.

Bloody hell, I know some cars have weak gearboxes, but that is just taken the piss. Is it just the Clio which have crap boxes.

Well you can replace the CV joint, but at the end of the day you might s well replace the complete driveshaft, it cost a bit more, but it allot less hassle.

I think it might be a new driveshaft then.

Good idea about the nut not being tight enough, I will have to check that out.

No, nowhere near as bad as that, it's very faint if you know what I mean, but it's there, and it bugging me.

I would say a grinding noise, but it not very lout at all, I have a video of the driveshaft movement which I will post up.

So I still seem to have my engine start problem. The car starts up first time, but if you turn off the engine and then try and restart, it will not want to kick into life, the engine just turns over, leave it for about 1min, and the engine will start up no problem, this is happening hot engine...

It will be a failing injector on cylinder 3, I had the same code on mine 2 months ago, I ended up changing all of them in the end,

Took the car for a quick drive on the motorway tonight, and to my surprise I got a good reading from the MPG, I got 41mpg going down, and coming back up the motorway it drop to about 37Mpg, doing a steady 60. 70Mph.

Crankshaft sensor change, easy fix, just a little tight to get the bolts undone.

I would go a nut and bolt setup.

I Changed Lambda sensor when I first got the car about 4 months ago know, before that it's had a full service including spark plug change, and the coil pack a leads have all been replaced, I have also replaced all 4 injectors. As I said before, car drives fine, good power, and responsive. Odd.
