Hi
So for the last couple of days my fuel gauge has been acting a little erratic, took the car for a drive today and the gauge indicated I have at least a quarter of a tank left, 10min into the journey the fuel gauge is reading half of that, and by the time I park up on level ground the fuel...
I did a little test with this annoying fan, and disconnected both the red and black wires which power the fan, it turns out the climate control still works fine because the sensor in still connected by the 2 grey wires, all the fan does is help the sensor pick up the ambit temperature faster...
I must admit to not being very impressed by the fuel consumption on my Clio 172 for such a small car it's not that great when driving sensibly, and don't even ask when driving fast. comparing it to my 1.8T Golf GTI, which had 250Bhp, this car was better on fuel, which has amazed me considering...
So am I also right in thinking that Oil Pressure is not that important with the clio engines, as long as you have the correct amount in there, VVT is not really effected.
So I have just done my first service on my 172, and I was wondering where to stop filling the oil too, halfway to the dip stick, or to the full level of the dip stick, are the Clio engine dependent on oil pressure to hit the 4K cam pick up, like the Civic Type R, I know on them cars that if you...
Right, managed to get my code scanner today, did a scan and as I suspected there is an injector problem, got a P0204 and a P0314 error code back, it saying Injector Cylinder 4 is the problem?
Managed to check the Spark Plugs today, and they seem in good condition, clean the Throttle body, and all the connecting parts up, Car still misfiring with no power at all. I think it might be an injector problem, it's about the only thing left to check.
Anyone know if the is a "How to for...
No not yet, I don't have a scanner for the car at the moment, but I suppose that is the next thing to do. Anyone in the Medway area have a code scanner that would help me out.
Dam it, did the O2 Sensor today and the Exhaust Gas light is still bloody on, and I'm still getting a misfires at low revs, not to sure what to do now, the car has already had a new coil pack and HT leads. Any ideas?
Quick question, when the Exhaust Gas light comes on, does it cut engine power, like limp mode. because whenever I drive the car and the light comes on, the car just feels like it misfiring, but i'm not to sure if that is just Clio limp mode being my first Renault car. I have had the car scanned...
Cool, thanks for the photo, Are the Euro O2 Sensor OK to use, some parts I buy from Euro Parts, but some like sensor I have always brought OEM. Would you say there easy to get undone, or is it a fighting battle so to speak.
Hi
So I have just brought my first Clio Sports and it needs a O2 Sensor replacement, does anyone one here have a pic of where the sensor is on this car, and are they easy to replace.
How it's going, Just brought my first ever Clio Sport 172, what can I say, wished I did it years ago, I come from the VW side of things and turbo cars, so it's a big change for me, but I think it's a good one.
Cheers
