Mine gets 37-40 on town driving! :s as for exhausts ive got the supersports mild steel recessed system on mine and i love it! nice and quiet in the cab but lets of a nice rasp when you plant your foot, around the 200 mark aswell with cliosport discount :)
Attack the whole unit with 1200 wet and dry, then get hold of some meguiars scratch x and polish the scratches from sanding out, much easier with a rotary or DA polisher but can be done by hand, also look in the detailing section im pretty sure theres a guide sticky'd at the top :)
When the lights go yellowy and hazy and it looks like loads of small little cracks over them just refurb them using 1200 wet and dry paper and some meguiars scratch x, done 2 sets now and they've come up like new!
Just thought someone else might find it helpfull to know how i wired in an aftermarket HID kit into Clio xenon headlights, this would be usefull if your standard expensive ballasts keep packing up and you'd like an alternative reliable way of fixing the problem or if youve purchased the xenons...
Cheers for your help guys, im just curious to see if my idea with the after market hid kit would work and they would fit allright, that way i could go for a 6000k kit with more of a bluey tint to them than the standards, i know this doesnt mean a brighter light, but its something a little...
positive, both ballasts have packed up, he's tried new bulbs to no avail. he's not really into the whole car scene and just wants a cheap fix and i want some cheap xenons lol
So if i were to get a 6000k D2S HID kit for my car and then use that for the xenons i will be getting, this will work? as this would be substantially cheaper than replacing the oem items.
Then its just a matter of swapping my units into his which im presuming would just be plug and play ?
Basically i have a friend who owns and clio initiale with the xenons as standard but both of the ballasts have packed up, he's offering me a straight swap for my standard reflectors.
What i wanted to know is; is there a cheaper alternative to replacing the standard ballasts? i was thinking of...
i'll give them a buzz, dont like the idea of having mine adjusted, would rather a brand new set purely for the fact that i could keep them on until the new ones arrive.
Thinking about spacing the front 15mm and the rear 20mm, also looking to get some custom springs for the rear just to remove the small arch gap (currently no adjusters on the rear), going to colour code the front bump strips and the plastics that hold the mirrors aswell, oh and matt black the rs...
Inspector gorms lol I think you'll be suprised with them to be honest, if I hadn't been hobest enough to mention they were reps I don't think we'd be having this conversation, I think they pull of the look I was going for nicely tbh
Thats still quite abit more than i paid for mine with tyres, they arent lensos, dare dr-rs's, the only difference in looks i can see between mine and yours are the slightly different style center caps. I wanted them and i wanted them fast, thats the reason i went for the replicas, saved both...
Just noticed your display picture, thats initially why i was stopping at the motor circuit to get some photos infront of that hanger but the gates where shut. Nice! perhaps arrange a mini meet with some others some time?
