If you gave me £35k I'd get one of those, without thinking about it twice.
...I think if you gave me £200k, I'd still get one of those and keep the rest for fuel. Stunning cars all round imo. I'll start saving ;)
Glad all was ok mate.
Can be very nasty at that kinna speed.
I did pretty much exactly the same thing as you on a roundabout in the wet, wasn't even raining, just a very damp surface.
Was in the lane 1 taking it slightly quick, at about the same speed as you and the back end just stepped out...
... 172 in Trophy red, or a 172 cup in black would look like? :)
Just randomly contemplated it earlier.
Has anyone photoshopped this before?
If not, any one willing to please? It's one of those things I've never seen an image of and it's just gotta be done.
Cheers,
Pete.
Tbh it's only cause i've got an aftermarket audio system.
When demanding the volume's cranked up, it does the above ;) That's the sole reason really.
From reading other threads, a power cap isn't the answer as i understand it?
What other alternators can I go for that can cope with a powerful...
Guys,
What is a sensible alternator to upgrade to that will have more power than the standard one fitted to the Dynamique range?
Does fitting a more powerful one have any sideaffects?
Does it use more fuel and drain battery power for fun etc?
I wanna tackle the issue of my Xenon's + interior...
My Xenons + interior lights dim when using the electric window button and while also using high volume/bass on my aftermarket head unit.
Would a more powerful alternator not resolve this?
Cheers.
Can relate to that [First post].
It's nothing special, and by no means fast, by my 1.6 often impresses me at times too still, even now and I've had it for two years.
110bhp per tonne ish' is pretty reasonable and most low end 1.6/1.8/2.0 petrol's can't really match that, i.e. Focuses/Mondeo's...
Yep.
Done everything on mine with my old man who's got reasonable general mechanical knowledge, barring cambelt which is the only thing I've had to pay service for, so far.
I couldn't afford to throw it at Reno' and say smoothen the cracks :S
That's cool bud - cheers. Not questioning your knowledge, was just pointing out I was lost and didn't quite understand what you'd said before ;)
Cool, and yeah, mine's a 1.6 Dynamique, it does have the seperate dash display that shows the radio station and clock with the standard head unit...
Cool.
I thought the USB lead was like £140 ish for Alpine CD players?
Did a google and can only the ipod link for about £15. Don't think thats the one at all?
Obviously, if it comes with a direct usb port then thats cool, just doesn't show or mention it like it does with the JVC/Kenwood USB...
Particularly interested in:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cde9882ri-p-6423.html
It lists USB connectivity, does that mean it will read USB flash drives/Pen drives quite happily?
Is there a size limit [GB] that it can read?
There's no front port, so how do you connect it to a USB...
Love to see the chav taken out of a car in more ways than one mate, full marks, good work.
New RS badge maybe? ;)
Looks generally very very nice though.
What's the mileage if I may ask?
What mk/year is the Golf mate?
Can pick yourself up a set of the official VW R32 xenons if it's a mk4 from the bay for about £300-£400. Fair enough hassle of fitting etc, but will look a hell of a lot better and if you've got headlight washers, will be fully legal as fas as I'm aware?
