As we discussed fella the other evening, a JCW Cooper S would have a 172/182/197 imo.
Standard CooperS however, I think it would be the other way around, depending on the driver, conditions etc etc...
So 6-8bhp overall is the best you can hope for on the 1x2's?
Would a nice exhaust for a similar price with an air filter + few other minor engines mod's not achieve that with ease, or should the ultimate power increase always stem from the ECU in your opinions?
Hey Rushy,
Are those OEM Xenons or just very McCoy looking HID's? If so, official Pug ones?
They look the part, love the car too. Very tidy effort.
What sort of times/spec is it running now?
What's with that PVC double glazing looking kind of insulation tape he's got all round the edges of the car?...
Wtf?!
Looks like he's pritt-sticked it together.
Indeed, but it's not consistent and it works should it occur.
It gets a lot of short journeys just being moved from the driveway onto the road, as the old man will move it to get his car out around once a day. Not sure if it doesn/'t enjoy the consistent stop starts?
As above really.
What's the best method?
Will only a certain type of alloy rust?
My standard Dynamique's are starting to look a bit weathered, and wanted to know for my next car/set of alloys what can I do to preserve them as much as possible?
Is there a polish out there, or is it just a...
Ok, thanks fellas :)
The spluttery engine happens ever so occasionally, usually when I’m very low on fuel so that probably explains that one too.
I make a point of pushing the accelerator to the gas for about 5 seconds or so before starting in those situations, and it usually guarantees a nice...
Hey guys,
The last week the battery light has been staying on until the engine is started, so on ignition startup I await all the lights to disappear, and the only one that is left with the handbrake light is the battery light.
Yesterday morning I started the car and it did the same, and the...
lmao.
I get worried when I see the threads about that.
I don't think mine has EVER looked remotely as clean as some of the detailing threads, even after a wax. I drive on English M and A + B roads?
Not forgetting the scratches and scrapes...
Do they have foam walls and cotton gate posts, cause...
Love that Ally, looks a real beast for such a slim car.
I've been considering one of these.
Does it really feel like it does 0-60 in 7.4?
Ibiza C > Leon C then?
A remap would take it up to just short of 200bhp? Mind blowing for a compact 1.9 Diesel tbh :)
Pete.
...Have connected up my Audio Scart leads to my Hi-Fi [Red + Black] and I can only get bog standard 1-5 channels of sound through the Hi-Fi, they sound fine, but soon as I switch it to AV, i get no sound any longer?
Proper m0r0n issue, I just can't think what it would be :boring:.
My scart box...
Hey guys,
With so many people now remapping TDi's and Turbo'd Petrols, what are or will be the long term side affects of this on a car?
Would you avoid buying a car with a remap like the plague, just as you would one that's a CatD etc?
I'm guessing the standard manufacturer components are far...
Chaps + Chapettes,
Where do you get your theme's + Applications etc from for you Sony Ericsson's handsets?
I've got a W850, waiting for the W960 and whenever I do a search I always find a load of popup crap and spyware downloads.
Anyone got any pointers with a good range of downloads?
Any...
^ Yeah wouldn't expect them to fail the MOT.
The problem I think comes due to the engine vibration, or they get to hot as Paul said.
7 Month is good going. You must drive your Clio's very little or something?
My problem is I do about 400 miles a week so probably why mine only last 2 months...
I'm right in saying they don't fit aren't I? lol...
At least another wide set I had didn't fit into the actual casing - http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/u5016bw-blue-super-bright-leds-wide-angle-volt-p-1017.html?osCsid=a2e712ae5702432cacc342e4086ba2ad
Yeah, I first thought it was too close to the headlamps which is why they kept blowing after a very short life span...
The only problem with those is that they're the wide fit which don't fit into the sidelight connector casing, and I really wouldn't fancy a blue set, white only imo.

...Have had 3 sets of these now.
Always been happy with the service from ultraleds, but the bulbs themselves never last longer than approx. 2 months.
I appreciate they've been...
Hey Guys,
Whenever I foot brake, my rear fog light dashboard display symbol kind of flickers on and off intermittently - Bad wiring or dodgy dash?
I haven't really tried anything such as even turning the rear fogs on as i don't want to cause more problems - I will next time I'm parked up...
Bi-Xenon headlamp on a current model Z4:
Angel eyes on a current model 3 series [That's the sidelight setting
isn't it?]
Xenon's Ftw everytime imo, on any car.
Clean and Tidy.
I like the wheels. On the exhaust, sorry but I've never thought it worth putting an after market/bigger exhaust on anything smaller than a 1.8 or there abouts mate, but personal preference that one. Seems a nice exhaust none the less.
That grey is absolutely stunning, whats the official colour term? That's one of my favourite 1.6's including mine ;) Get some headlight washers, would top it off :D
White Ph1 looks classy as ever - Are they genuine xenons?
Wish they manufactured 172 + 182's in both colour's tbhhhhhh :(
