I'm weighing in a f4r bottom end and a second crankshaft amongst a whole load of other shite. Just wondering... I'm guessing it's just steel.
What type of metal is the bottom end block and the metal type of the crank?
sure its not engine mounts? check the engine for movement play esp forward and backwards (dog mount bush at bottom back is often a culprit of what 'feels' like a s**t idle but the dash needle is solid not bouncing around etc.
Take it to a specialist

this website will give you some typical values for what you want to know for all the crs mentioned.
just search the cars and look up the technical data bits
stay with the 1.2 until you can afford to insure/buy etc a sport.
spening money on faffing around with a 1.6 will tbh be a waste, where as if you just save up for a while longer and build up a bit of ncb or get some more ncb... then you will be able to get a nice 2.0 sport that does and drives...
smoother cornering might help :-)

i think he means sticking and valves.....and You need to let your car warm up before you rag it otherwise it will get sulky with you!
And 1.2's dont have power of any description ;)
just be patient let it warm up and it will be less 'sticking values'
Have you checked all your fluid...
