Dogbone Powerflex cockup. Gutted

I ordered a set from eBay and finally got around to fitting them today, everything was going great until the bolt for the gearbox side wouldn't fit through the hole in the bushes...

Turns out they cocked the order up and both the metal sleeves have the small diameter hole!

Obviously i could've checked this before fitting but i didn't bother as the part number was correct.

I destroyed the old bushes getting them out so my car is currently sat on axel stands in the garage until i can get it sorted.

Proper gutted.

This is the same part number i ordered, same as pictured on the eBay sellers advert.

You can see in this pic that the 2 sleeves have different diameter holes.

I know nobody can do anything to help me, i just wanted to let my frustration out!

Drill, seriously?

I haven't got a vice, or even a work bench. I'm sure it'll get sorted somehow

yeah, drill it out. Had to do it on other bushes a few times. Probably best to do it on a lathe if you know anyone with engineering facilities.

Nope, a 60 year old bloke a work with turns wood for a hobbie but that's as close as it gets.

I'm confident the seller will sort me out but i may have to wait until after the weekend

an engineering workshop should be able to do it for beer money, or have something else suitable if you take bolt&bushes along?
(loads of engineering shops around)

Powerflex are sending me the bits, should be through the letterbox in the morning. Fingers crossed

hope you get it sorted mate. i put the same thing on mine on tuesday and when i went to fit it i realised i had put the sleeves in the wrong bushies so had to change them round. good job they didnt need pressing in or i would have buggered them up swaping them over lol.

i just looked at that picture, i didnt get any of those metal sleeves in my pack i ordered.... gay thing is i ordered it last year.

who is your contact at powerflex for ordering the sleeves from mate?

The ebayer seller contacted them for me and arranged for them to be posted to me
