Well me, at a humble 21 has a mortage (past 18 months), a nice clio 16v and a job in formula 1, just...(arrows on the edge)
I compete in the british rally championship and am a rally instructor at a rally school not too far away. I am putting an mi16 onto a 205 as i speak (well not quite as i...

For those that were interseted in getting a late grille for thier clio, I phoned renault and they wanted £53 in VAT. He thought this included the clips but wasnt 100%. (for that they should bloody well cover it in gold leaf it...)
After I asked him how they justified this price, he wouldnt give...

I did a 50/50 mix. I think that is even stated on the bottle of antifreeze. Makes a good coolant that way.
Youll need to mix up loads as you loose quite a bit bleeding the system and topping it up. Mix a up about 4 litres so 2 bottle of a/freeze and thats enough. that will give a good flush...

your both right, in a way. there isnt a drain on the rad, you just remove the bottom hose (bit of a pain) there is, however a bleed screw on the left hand side at the top.
Also a coolant drain plug in the back of the block, under the exhaust manifold as Ben H says. It is also a pain to get to...

You lot went through this the other day, narrow band sensors which more than likely have a 10% tolerance on them from the factory anyway. Not much use, still tells you if there is a drastic problem and you can stop quick smart and sort it.
Need to have a look at the car really. From that i would say replace rotor arm and dizzy cap. then dry out plug leads and coil pack and all connections.
Check your relays, if you can spot any visible damage (unlikely) then get some relays from a scrap yard and put them in.
Really cant...
Bloody hell, not really sure then. See if you can push start the car, either tow it or get some friendly neighbours!
If it starts, you know the problem is in the starter wiring. If it doesnt start, there is an ignition problem somewhere. Do all the electrics still work?
Call a garage and...
Tough one without seeing the car. Charge the battery for a start.
Gotto be a bad earth from engine (or gearbox, these have the same ground as they are linked) to the battery id say.
Get a jump lead and connect one black end to battery neagative. then connect the other end of the black lead...
Well in a sentance; "you get what you pay for"
The experience i had/am having with isnt great. Got the full set inc rears and put them straigh on with new renault top mounts.
I knew they had a shortened damper so continuous lower ride heights are possible without damaging the damper, but...
Just re-read your post. sounds like an ignition relay if you had a bang and smoke.steam. Do you have a relay box near the airbox like a 16v?
Take the cover off, disconnect battery, and look for burnt out wiring or damaged relays, then repair or replace as needed.
Does the ignition come on? If not then its an earth lead or main fusebox feed, possibly lots of fuses blown but you say you have checked those.
If it does come on, do you get a click/tick when you turn the key to position 3? If no then starter solenoid gone or wiring damaged between battery...
Funny you should mention that mate, i have just the gauge you are talking about right here infront of me!
Its almost finished, just needs putting in a box and testing (not in that order! its bound to need some playing with!)
Just got 10 LEDs and a bar graph display chip and took the output...
Split the ball joints off with a ball joint splitter or a large hammer. Unbolt them from the wishbone and bolt on the new ones. Re-connect the hub and away you go.
The rear lines are a bit of a pain, take the spare wheel cage off (mine never went back on!) and its easier...
Certainly does look the business. Saw it in the spring at work (TWR) and wanted to post pics as no-one believed it existed!!!
Wasnt allowed to photograph it, obviously, and it looks even better in blue!
Oh nice, 16vs across the country rotting from the inside out!
Mk2 escorts leak water through the heater matrix and the floor gets wet. Just incase you give a s**t!
yeh, yeh!!
Some right dodgy people at TWR/Arrows, so ive heard anyway...!
The last renault project was the clio V6, then we had some V6 phase 2s but nothing since, as far as i know.
