Misfire - changed lots but it's still there!

Glad it's fixed but It's even cheaper if you speak to us (or Fred at BTM, Paul at RS, the Kevs at Birchdown etc. etc.) i.e. companies that have the required knowledge and experience to accurately diagnose an issue and resolve it. For what it's worth the last failed injector Clio we had in came...

Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi Renault Sport is only one part of what we do so you guys miss out on most of the other stuff. I could start banging on about the rest of it too but you'd all get bored pretty quick. Personally as a proper...

"Wow, My Willy Works" Dave.'s TDF'd ITB & Cammed 182

Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi Touch more actually as it was holding on very well but I wouldn't recommend it long term for reliability reasons. The torque curve on this one is lovely though, I'm sure Dave will get the graphs up :)

Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi Just shy of 8K and I did ask if you wanted me to turn it down a bit ;) This car really demonstrates the difference a decent port throttle setup can make, even on a car that already makes good peak figures...

Hello I'm the bloke on PH. Where are you based?

    Coilpack Issue help appreciated

Only three terminals fitted, fourth isn't required. On the pack you should have one pin with 12V and two pins which go back to the ECU connector.
  12. I

    172/182 wiring looms

Looms are identical bar ECU connector pin out and in the case of the Ph1 cable cars the throttle body spur (and terminations at the ECU connector).

However I was so excited that the 2-Eleven is now over 270bhp (272bhp/200ftlbs ;) ) on the stock exhaust manifold and supercharger that I...

Re: Dave.'s Cammed, 2118'd Carbon obsession Super production and S2000 engines are supplied without ancils and engine control. If you specify electronics then generally we use Marelli/Pico or Siemens injectors for these engine packages. Also both of these engines aren't low compression...

    Anyone bored out an F4R?

Exactly, stock pulley works fine and is working fine on 500,000 odd F4Rs worldwide! For use over 8000RPM we keyway them but that's only because for those revs the valve train load is much higher which takes it outside of Renault spec.

    Anyone bored out an F4R?

No no I got it, just the usual deadpan'ness ;)

    Anyone bored out an F4R?

More squeeze with cams to suit is generally good. Larger bore needs carful consideration due to affects in burn rate across the chamber i.e. more area, longer burn time, less complete burn likely at higher RPM. 84mm is too small a difference to really bother doing the math on though, when you...

    Anyone bored out an F4R?

Why do you want to increase the bore size? An extra 60CC in the real world with mostly stock bits above it will do very little.
  22. I

    Anyone bored out an F4R?

You can go to 84mm without any real issue which gives you just over 2061 CC but that's about the limit.

    ITB help, possibly?

If you're in Notts then there's Fred at BTM in Brum, Paul at RST in Leeds or us down the M1/A14 just past Northampton.

    Sealing water jacket on F4R

If it's designed to have a gasket then it needs a gasket. Don't reuse the old one with sealer, chances are it won't seal as completely as you would like.

    My amateur review of ITB's

Prototypes done and been run on the dyno donkey F4R.... we're not rank amatuers! Difference is producing 20 or so sets of cams at a price you chaps want to pay is very different than us using a few spare blanks to test some profiles. Schrick will produce in tens off but at that volume it's...

    My amateur review of ITB's

On it, profiles signed off just a case of sourcing blanks in sensible quantities now as none of you want to pay the price it costs to outsource it to Schrick! ;) Hope to have some news in the next week or so.

    My amateur review of ITB's

When I was a lot younger and worked for an OEM I spent a year of my life doing cold start calibration. It was, shall we say, not as interesting as I'd have liked and to be honest I hated every second of it....... but on the bright side it does mean that if its at all possible all of the stuff I...

    My amateur review of ITB's

Ours is a bit more engineered than that. We have a set of anti-back off washers that sit between ram pipe and trumpet on the AT bodies and retain the filter in the correct position, this has proved to be 100% reliable as the foam spacer rings other use occasionaly split.

Bomber's Reliable Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1

Re: Bomber's Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1 Ours is a bit different though as we have a Froude 201 engine dyno to compare it against, the fly compensations we've written for our chassis dyno match the engine dyno results as accurately as is possible when measuring through two...

Bomber's Reliable Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1

Re: Bomber's Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1 Actually something there has changed in the past 6 months or so, the loss's still look very high but the actual fly figure has ended up pretty close to what our chassis dyno reckons. Our's definately hasn't changed so maybe there's been...
