1) I find giving it the left hook while im stationary does the trick for about half hour. Also punching the lining shuts it up too. It's not the screws that need tightening, it's rubbing parts in the sunroof at different temperatures which is causing the problem I believe. And I think the...
I see what you mean Debz, all you can do is take it out for a spin and see what the goose brings up! Also have you sorted the bearings out on the 1.6 yet?
Its deffo interesting car, I think I will test drive one once it comes out on the market just to see what it's like. I can imagine it's going to be a big hit.
But I can see your heart is in the newer shaped Clio, so give it a go and see how you feel Debz and report back! :D (tbh I still think...
Naa, just sleeved over with Samco vacuum pipe at the moment. Will pop down to a brakers yard this weekend and get a cheap one instead of paying rip off reno prices.
Well that's b*llocks mate i'm sorry!
An old acquaintance of mine had a completely standard 1.0ltr Corsa C with the same induction kit as me and his made a decent noise when he revved his parked up, and he didn't have to rev it hard either.
Still going for the newer shaped va va voom then Debz? Wasn't quite sure if you still wanted one because of what you read about them etc..
And yea, the twingo turbo.. Should be interesting..
If it looks like that.. Even I would consider it!!
Oh yea, that's another thing. The 'Induction Roar' ... My engine is competely standard and when I fitted the Pipercross Induction kit for my motor I got no 'roar' or 'deep engine tone' as people and what the box said. I revved it at low revs.. nothing.. I revved it at medium revvs.. nothing then...
^ ^ If it's anything like the 16v.. Probably not. IK did nothing for my car really apart from heatsoak and slight torque when I got to 6k revs..
Just out of interest, I noticed in the vid clip that your exhaust is at an angle where it is just going to blow all the crap onto your tyres? (hot air, unburnt fuel, condensation etc..) Surely that isn't good for the rear wheels/ tyres and brakes?
Or is it just a dodgy camera angle?
Good...
Yea the big cloth looking pipe going into the engine at the back and running to the grill is the cold air feed pipe. I think you can just take that off and when you order an IK it provide a peice of plastic or rubber tubing which attaches to it.
Indeed mate :approve: But it is very rare if somebody says they have had no problems whatsoever with thier Clio (even the ever annoying rattles!) haha.
Haha, have you not been paying attention to people's Clio problems on here? :rasp:
Our cars are not the best built things in the world is all im saying!
Still if you treat it with respect, shouldn't be too bad. :)
(and I have a dodgy engine rattle and it's only done 39k!)
