Yep the key and Multi timer unit are out of sink. The key needs re-programming. my spare key went dead once and after a new battery the key still locked and unlocked the car but wouldnt start it. Weird Renault thing!
Yeah mine has no AC but was pre-wired for it. Look up under your dash in the drivers side. The unused connector should be clipped in view towards the middle of the car.
No don't even think about it! That’s just hassle and you'll bl;ow your coil pack. The reason you’r getting a 50percent reading is that as the coil pack has only 4 wires and two of them are used for 12V supply and ground. The other two carry the signal from the ECU to the coil to control which...
The multi timer unit has nothing to do with the fuel pump or fuel pump relay. That relay is controlled by the Engine Management System. Assuming your immobiliser light in the dash was turning off after you turned the ignition key on then the immobiliser sounds ok. You may have more than one...
Yep hazard light switch went on mums car, had to get it changed for the MOT. Actually not that expensive from Renault, 4 or 5 quid from them at the time. The lighter surround and ash tray illumination are from the same bulb so if its gone then both wont light up.
This really sounds like your being fobbed off by Renault. Unless you’re obviously rough with the car, there is really no reason for it not to be covered under warranty. Also no reason for it to of happened so soon. Sounds to me like the rubbers seals weren't cut right in the factory and Renault...
Sounds like one of two things has happened if this is a new problem.
1: Rain has got under the aerial base and corroded the connection. (Take your interior light apart and look up from inside the car at the connection.
2: The coax cable has been damaged. Damage can be simple crushing with no...
Well if you have the fly by wire throttle then it could be the servo which opens and closes the butterfly valve in the throttle housing is very close to giving up the ghost and the ECU is trying to tell you this with the MIL light. Cue no throttle when you put your foot down to move or overtake...
What are you doing with the sensor when the de-cat is in? Take the de-cat pipe out drill a hole in it, weld a nut to it and screw the sensor into the nut.
I had this problem two weeks ago and the day before its MOT. I tried everything I could think of, checked TDC (230 or 330ohms it metered at, can’t remember which,) that was fine. I checked all fuses and relays and connections. Took apart the whole engine bay wiring loom and checked for the usual...
Yep most likely the relay switching the amp power supply is fubar or the earth for the amp is bad. You don't need the second relay to cut the power supply to the amp (the whole point of the amp remote wire is to turn the amp off when not needed.) Just run the remote wire from the headunit to the...
Yes well as you've 4 cylinders you would have to have multiples of 4 ranging from 8 up. (Minimum of 1 inlet valve and 1 exhaust valve.) Anyway Clio's are only 8v or 16v for that range. Back on thread, i've fitted literally hundreds of stalk controls in the past and its really just not worth...
On your car description you say "Car: Clio 1.2 6V Mk2 Ph1" i think you mean Car: Clio 1.2 8V Mk2 Ph1 as unless you've some amazing new engine design which shares 1 valve between two cylinders or have a V6 as well as the 1.2
Its called a Line level converter or high level converter. Takes the signal from the speaker wires and converts it to RCA's which you can plug into an amp. However as The Boosh mentioned, they are not a great option in terms of sound quality and level. For some reason they actually work better...
A connects-2 adaptor is the same thing as what you have except they are supplied vehicle and radio specific. (They are one piece not in two parts like yours.) Anyway as above, colossuss is correct, I should have read your first post properly (missed the fact you had a MK2 98 not MK1), for a MK2...
Yep I’ve had this too. Twice. The two fixes were
1: New Speedo pickup. (Long black plastic sensor located on the back of the gearbox, bulkhead side, above the diff)
2: After re-moving the box to replace the clutch release bearing the Speedo wouldn’t work, turned out to be one of the wire...
You have to be careful how you plug those halfords adaptors up to JVC's, they have to be plugged-in in a specific order which is in the instructions you get with the adaptor. There a pain in the arse. Better with a connects-2 adaptor or something like that. Else take it back to halfords and tell...
I’ve wondered this too on occasion. I saw the Lexan clutch cover on that bike too. Was made by CNC’ing out a billet of Lexan. It’s what they make bullet proof windows out of for some applications. Often wondered if a Lexan rocker cover could be made. Watch the oil flying around the rotating...
Can bus is for auxiliary equipment like cd changer/Bluetooth adaptor/iPod adaptor. Never heard or seen any connects 2 stalk adaptors which plug into the bus connector as Pioneer units cannot be controlled through the bus connector. In any case your pioneer doesn’t have a bus connector from...
There are two bulbs back lighting this display. If the interior illumination switch doesnt help then youll have to replace one or both bulbs. Its a top of dash off job!
Re: help please, how do i put reg plate white led light in? bulb is different shape t
Numberplate light holders rust so quickly on my clios so look at the connections in the bulb holder and on the bulb itself. They will prob need cleaning.
Ive not seen any better gauge that these.

They are the best of the best style wise if you are into that sort of thing and can afford it. I like them and they plug into the EOBD port. No mucking about around the engine.
Oh dear good luck with that. Either a lot of time with the soldering iron and heat shrink, if you can get the ECU connector off him, or just get another engine bay wireing loom.
