I've never had any lights apart from Airbag / Serv appear after swapping wheels. I guess the other section you removed obviously upset the car a bit.
Welcome to the 330mm and below gang
lol - am I allowed to enter the sweepstake? It could fund the next car ;)
Move closer to work and buy one of these, it gets about a 100 times more looks than the M!!
The M roadster never had the rear-end grip that the V6 has got, but it had an LSD which made for some fun drift moments, and it also suffered scuttle shake with the harder suspension I had on it - obviously the Coupe wouldn't suffer this problem. The servicing was massively expensive if anything...
Very nice :approve: Not usually a fan of aftermarket rear lights, but they look great. Excellent condition for a mk1 (hard to keep those interiors mint!)
lol, hey you guys!
I managed 26.2mpg on the way home after picking it up....don't think it will ever go higher than that ;) fuel economy wasn't the number one reason I bought it, as you might have guessed!
6R4's are cool Kev.
...or being passed by an FQ-400!
"Murcielago's seriously seriously underperform for what they are...blah blah, twisties, I'm a c**k, blah blah"
The only thing a V6 tries to best at, is being unique. It does well at that. End of.
Right, guess you're talking about the fronts:
To remove the calipers its just the 2 x 18mm bolts you mentioned. They can be stiff, but should come free, then the whole caliper will come off (if you were just changing the pads, you could remove the smaller bolts and just 'flip' up the caliper)...
Thanks again for all the comments.
In comparison, well the interior is virtually the same (even got the same rattle by the cruise control switch lol)....the rest couldn't be more different. Where the 182 engine is smooth and peaky, the V6 is gruff, noisy and torquey. The handling on the 182 is...
Thanks guys :) Yeah the silver mk2's aren't nearly as popular as they were for the mk1's - but its the classic V6 colour! (although I don't dislike any of the mk2 colours it has to be said)
Its titanium silver. Think the mk1's were iceburg silver which isn't quite as bright.
Love the exhaust - had pretty much the same one built by Pro-Speed on my mk1 and it looked very similar. Wouldn't bother meshing it - tricky to make it look any good and honestly, you want to show that off!
Wheels are an acquired taste, but I bet that looks sweet in the flesh.
No they got another two to try this month - and came to the same conclusion; Mk1's are the best for fun, then they gradually go down hill.
Had probably the best drive ever in a mk2.5 MX5 a few years ago. Had never really driven a RWD car back then, yet I was burning down B-roads with the ass...
