Less of the cheek then;) Same liquid payment as last time and I'm happy:approve:
Yeah looked at them before Craig. Would look tidy but I opted for the fiesta five pound special.
Really not liking the Yozza ehh Leeroy. Each to their own.
I know the image a loud exhaust portrays etc.
You stick to your street racing with your silent exhaust;)
Thanks for the nice comments on mine:o
I'll get some detailed pics of the battery job and links to cable used etc. jamie and pm them to you.
I must say after being out in Craigs i would like to charge mine and put a nice interior in. Craigs is a lovely place to be with recaros etc. Perfect...
Just been trying to upload the video Craig, but didn't turn out to well:boring:
My cup During stripping. Had more removed since this shot.
I haven't got any great pictures of my battery relocation/process but could take some and pm you if required. I've been having problems with it due to...
Get a holiday banged in Craig. I want to see a boosted shoot out at York.
Loved the drive home mate, I've missed my Yozza.
Had a large light weight parcel waiting for me when I got in also;)
Craigs just taken me out in this before we swapped exhausts back.
I can't believe how well it copes and puts the power down throughout the range. It seriously quick.
Oh and Leeroy you need to man up the Yozza sounded fine on Craigs car;)
I've just tested the 300 amp fuse this morning and its fine.
Also started first time this morning without the fuse in.
Can anybody confirm 16mm battery cable is upto this job?
Thanks
As above I've recently relocated battery and doesn't seem so keen to start on certain occasions now.
I used 16mm proper battery cable to run the length of the car. Is this heavy duty enough?
I've also put a mega fuse next to the battery. Initially I used 200 amp and had problems starting. So...
I agree with what your saying Matt and mentioned most of the above in my OP. I've heard alot of people say the same aswell.
But lets not forget most of us are running circa 170bhp Clios not exactly high powered cars. I go beacause its my local and in my eyes a cheap day out.
I remember...
Ha thats my exhaust. He borrowed it for mapping on his supercharger as its 2.5inch bore (Yozza race system).
Can't wait to see this on thursday Craig:approve:
Great news for any N/A 2.0 litre Clio's attending this. I've just recieved a newsletter through from york raceway about the new classes system for 2011.
Class C is now 1600cc to 1999cc with no turbo/nitrous or supercharger. Last year it was 1600cc turbo and upto 1999cc N/A.
I came 5th out of...
Weathers looking good for this one with the april 'heatwave'.
Similar set up to andyrg then owen? I'm sure it'll still be rapid on low boost.
Mines giving me a few problems atm aswell, need a new nsf hub and ball joint before this.
I'm feeling the pressure of competing with the booost...
Still need help on this please.
I've fitted a new ball joint today and the knocking is still there. It seems to be knocking a little less now though.
As mentioned above could this be wear in the actual hub?
I've found a second hand 172 cup hub for £15. Just the seller isn't a 100% on it...
Cheers boys. I think this is the problem after reading above.
I replaced the ball joints in December with eurocarparts items. Half way through the job I realised they'd gave me a 10mm and a 12mm. So I drilled the 10mm out.:o
Would you recommend Renault ball joints? or will the correct 12mm...
Just developed this over the last 2 weeks.
Basically when coming to a junction/stop if I pump the brake pedal on/off it knocks everytime. If I'm gentle on the pedal and smoothly depress it doesn't.
I've removed my ns strut and checked the top mount and they seemed worn (60k) so replaced...
Ha yeah perfect vehicle for York raceway tbh.
It was the first race and there was loads of standing water. I was very heavy footed and span in every gear and aquaplaned lots:o
Just noticed your running boooost, SC or turbo? Hopefully be 3 boosted Clios attending this now then:approve:
Me to Andy. Looking forward to seeing 'the red rocket' also.:approve:
I really hope the weathers dry. Got beat by a landrover defender last time in the wet.
Ahh, what exhaust does he have dean? He wasn't booting it but it sounded nice.
The cups still alive although its due a service and some tlc when I can be bothered. I've quit smoking so trying to get healthy and save funds for holiday and trackdays:approve:
You passed me entering Guisbrorough from Redcar way.
I was on my bicycle on my way to work.
Car sounded and looked real nice. White wheels aswell I think.
Mine just failed MOT on this. I payed ~£40 delivered from Wests Renault on here.
Steer clear of the cheap pattern parts apperntly they don't fit properly.
I wouldn't worry to much about 10 owners aslong as theres decent history.
I can't believe how many people think a 1*2 is expensive to run or thirsty tbh.:S
