That's the vent I need to replace. I've got a new one, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the existing one out. Looking at the new one, there's no obvious clips that I can get to easily. Any tips on getting it out?

After waiting ages for the DVLA to get off their arses, I finally nipped down to pick it up this evening! It's SilverFox's old car and she's in rude health. Gave her a quiet run up the M1 for a bit, nipped into services for a tankful, and then pulled off at Chesterfield and stretched her legs...

If the lines were thinner then I'd probably quite like it, in a sick way :D

I nearly bought a blue 172 Cup with gold Turinis off PH while I was looking for a 172. Looked ace, previously owned by a Renault mechanic. Can't find pics of it now though, think the ad's been removed. I like the look myself, each to their own!

Plate starts YM04, looked pretty standard. Didn't see any CS stickers though, anyone off here?

I've just thrown my Thinkpad up on eBay to help pay for some potential bits and pieces on my 172, so I thought I'd link to the auction here too. I'll give a bit of a discount if anyone off CS buys it. It's a pretty epic laptop and I've loved it ever since I got it. I've got a new Macbook now...

About 7.30pm, think it was a 182 but I'm not sure. I was just getting into the car with my missus when it sped up the hill past me. Didn't have standard wheels, looked lowered a bit, but I didn't catch the plate. Looked and sounded v.nice :cool:

It was! Deposit paid and I'll pick it up in a week or two when the current private plate comes off. Can't wait :D

Cheers, hopefully you'll see me around soon! Black 172 non-Cup (yes please on the ABS and the nicer interior!) with the anthracite 182 wheels and Eibachs. Pretty standard, just the way I want it. It's hard to find non-thrashed non-Cups in S.Yorks and nearby, so I'm really keen to nab it...

Cheers guys, seems there's quite a few in and around S. Yorks! Crosspool, nice and quiet (so hopefully easy on the old insurance, fingers crossed!) and not too far from the peaks. Off to see the 172 that's top of my list tomorrow, fingers crossed it's as good as it looks in the pics! :cool:
