If ur not gonna use all the minutes the £31.50/month one has 300 less minutes but saves you £65 over the 18 months.
I've been with T-mob for almost 3 years now but only upgraded for the first time in sept. I did have problems with them not wanting to offer me anything better than i could get as...
At a guess i'd say that was the package he was talking about but didn't click through to see the internet was extra. I've not seen that package lower than £30 anywhere yet. Is still a great contract for the price though.
Get a download monitor just to keep track but it should be more than enough. I use it a fair bit for streaming radio, youtube and internet browsing and i've not hit 500mb a month yet. Downloading podcasts etc uses more but just do that over wifi and store them for later.
I thought this aswell when i first saw pictures, but hold it in your hand for a while or use it to make a call and the lip is brilliant. Cant fault mine atall.
Hero contracts work out about £540 over 18 months for more inclusive stuff than your likely to need. As far as leading smartphones go...
Good news for people running G1's. Maybe this will result in HTC slowing down 2.0 for Hero and pushing out 1.6 instead.
Also over at XDA Developers they've modified the 2.0 release to run outside the UK (even on unrooted devices).
best option is to phone msn/hotmail. theres a support number somewhere. I did this when all my accounts were hacked and they were really helpful in giving them back to me.
Couple more games to waste time on:
Blockx 3D - A 3D tetris stle game.
AirAttack - Arcade style shooter game.
Other apps:
AudioManager - Allows you to change the volumes for everything, with widgets for the home screen that displays the current columes. Have read that the widget could be a...
Once the hero gets 2.0 i think it will still be able to compete with the newer android phones, especially when the contract price is considered. And its a more than capable media player, the price of the iphone all-in really doesnt justify the difference.
There was some o2 advertising material...
I didnt like the standard SE software and used a program called MyPhoneExplorer to back up all my texts/numbers/media. Worked with an 850i and is designed to work with most SE's i believe.
It was also mentioned somewhere that some people were experiencing their phone not going to sleep, it would only lock and turn off the screen. It was happening because some apps were forcing the phone to stay awake. To check that your phone has been 'sleeping' go to settings> about phone>...
You can go to your albums and click on them there to watch them. Or apps off the market such as 'Video Player' do it just fine.
As for Battery Saving...
Use all 3 toggle switches to cut the connections whenever they're not needed.
Turn down screen brightness as low as possible. Use the...

Jewellust Lite (one day i'll pay for it, atm when i reach the trial limit i just re-install it and start again)

Would be great if people could post up...
On my Hero:
Battery Widget: widget for the home screen with battery %
Apps Organizer: you can create program groups and put shortcuts to the group on the home screens. Very useful with icons for groups like games, multimedia, tools etc.
Beebplayer: iplayer/ live TV & good bbc radio player...
Looks great. Hopefully it can be set to download a couple of alternative routes just in case.
Good news for those already with Hero's (aslong as customer service reps have the correct info):
Go to the contact, click menu and edit. In the top left it will have their photo or the blank photo image. click that and it will give you the options for setting their picture. Remember to still click save at the bottom when you've selected or it wont remember it i believe.
Bit random but not...
I can forward certain gmail emails to my hotmail but not all will forward. I can't find the help page now but it has something to do with the way the email is signed off and only if it is done correctly can gmail forward it. I spend ages trying to get this to work to forward my SmsToMailbox...
no need to go to the url. the ,mail app syncs with your email account to show all your emails on the phone. I have both my gmail and hotmail accounts setup on the phone. Yes you can forward most email from gmail to hotmail but there are some inparticular that wont forward. Its far easier to just...
The heros a brilliant phone. Only ever had a play with an iphone for a while and i cant personally see anything that justifies it costing so much more. The media player is great on the hero, has a decent browser, app store that is already great and can only get better.
Have said it in a few threads lately but am loving my HTC Hero. Didnt find the touch screen easy at first but now can't imagine not having a touch screen phone.
I know the retentions team at t-mobile are able to offer a 18 month G2 touch (htc hero) contract for about £30 with 800 mins...
o2 (or BE) give a pretty decent connection
On an 8mb line where we were told about 5mb was the maximum we could expect. Am going to get an IPlate soon and see if its any better.
The only thing i can see from that voideo that is any better than my HTC Hero is the speed it switches from landscape to portrait. The 'cards' for currently running apps is a good idea but nothing that couldn't be built into an app for android or iphone.
BioHzrd did you go for the hero with T-mobile?
They tried to deliver mine earlier but nobody answered the door. If the delivery guy hasn't got it back to the depo by 2 this afternoon i'm gonna have to wait till next satruday for it. Very annoying!
we were with another company beforehand and were just told to cancel that and get the mac code off them and give it to o2. I think they need it everytime to transfer service.
just re-looked at it again and it mentiones a fair use policy but no specific levels. we regulalry use about 100Gb a...
have you had a look at o2 broadband. we got an 8mb package for £15 a month on a 12 month minimum contract, but only pay £7.50 becasue someone in our house has an o2 phone.
We get about 5mb connection which i fully expected but it doesnt ever fall below that. Think we've also only ever had about...
Re: HYC Magic
have you looked at the HTC Hero? (t-mobile call it G2 touch). Have just ordered one becasue i didnt want an iphone. Most reviews seem to consider it the alternative to the iphone and when i looked at one in store it was pretty nice to use.
