I dont have a manual for my Clio 172 I got a fortnight ago, and I need to get one.
Can anyone tell my if there is a manual specificaly for the 172 model or is the same manual for all MK2 Clio's?
There seems a few different things on ebay.
Are any of these the right thing...
The standard ones on the 172 are 16" right. Is it possible that the previous owner has put a different size tyre on as they look more like bus tyres than those above! Itching to finish work to go and check now.
much prefer the 16"s S6 EMY. Have to admit I really growing on the Turini's and...
I think I am getting where you guys are coming from after looking at a few pictures.
I don't quite know why but there is something I'm not keen about with the standard alloys, wether its becuase they have a lot of metal there and not 'see through' I dont know.
But when I look at other 172s...
I couldn’t figure out how to create a poll.....if indeed it’s possible for members.
I want to decide if I should go for 16" or 17" Alloys for my new 172.
I don’t want to keep the originals or have them refurbed.
I think most people on here sound like the stay with 16", buy what do most people...
Can anyone explain what the "35 to 42 60.1" means?
Can anyone comment on what the car would look like with 17" on and not lowered, would it look daft? does anyone have a picture of what this might look like?
I dont really want 16" I like wheels with slimline tyres and the less like bus tyres the better (I know this means expensive tyres). I'm guessing I couldnt buy a different profile tyre to change the ride from "a bit too high"
Yep I've seen those on that link but its the other end of the country to me.
I wont be lowering my car
I'm pretty new with tyres and alloys specs so can you explain what you mean?
Thanks
Hi All,
Got my 172 a fortnight ago with standard alloys. I have a bit of money spare so I would like to get some new, decent value alloys.
However I've never bought new alloys for a car, can anyone tell me what details/spec I need to go for other than the obvious - 4 studs. Do I need any...
They are the same as on k-tec my friend. not smoked either, Ive asked them. Seems you used to be able to but the same style smoked from new, but now you cant.
I have bought some of the above for £40 new delviered off a website!
Can you get these at longer lengths. Do I plug it in somewhere or have to splice and solder in.
Question is I need to secure the end connection so to plug my phone/satnav too without it being able to flop about. Not sure of the best way to do that
yes, just realised you posted a link earlier to lamin-x.co.uk.
i was thinking you meant regular window tint, thought I doubt their stuff is much different.
Looks like the film is the best way to go.
think gun smoke (13%) on the rear and Subtletint (6%) on the front might be the way to go...
How come you are taking them off? when you say quite good i guess they have a few scratches nicks on them.
To be honest I think I rather pay £10 and get them new when I think they come with the bulb housing at the rear and new indicator bulbs. £26 delivered and I'd have them.
its not worth a...
Whats the condition and price? Bearing in mind I can get them £40 delivered new - happy to PM you the link if you dont believe me.
Where about are you in Cumbira i.e would it be cheaper to pick up rather than post.
i just don't want to be a pig magnet. i wont be going for a tint as dark as yours, but still might think it look a bit crap having a corner not tinted and the rest is tinted. i.e. a smoked look but with this bright red reflector still on show.
Maybe i'll do that bit in seperate tinting film...
there is a guy on tintenet said he will do them for £20 (don't think that includs postage back)
Thought I'm guessing its best not to even cover the reflecter at all as as far as I know that is the bit where the law is hard on.
doesnt the film stay down and not likely to come of after...
getting itchy about buying some lights and tinting, but realy want to hear a few peoples thoughts before I choose the method to tint, and also if i should tint standard lights or some black lexus style lights
^turns out those above are tinted black lexus lights bought from new...now...
can anyone else confirm. Only I've seen it say on ebay auction
"This is a brand new genuine rear "Renault" badge for a Clio. The part number is 77 00 817 027 and it measures 18cm across, held on with 3 prongs"
aparently this if for a MK2 and Mk3 clio
