if you intend to tune the engine up properly (eg not just zorst and IK) then a balanced engine is a huge benifit.
a poorly balanced engine will tear itself to pieces eventually as more stress is put on it, whereas a properly lightened and balanced one will take longer ;)

torque is used when calculating bhp so they will both rise.
turbos give u bucketloadsa torque more than horsepower hence the fun and low down grunt (in gear accelaration)!
much happier :D u could prob get close, but with 150bhp u would prob make 180 pound o torque at 2.5k ish which would whoop a 150bhp N/A engine which wont develop the peak power till far higher up the rev range ;)
