While I don't intend to get rid of mine any time soon, I certainly won't be keeping it for 40 years.
I'd imagine the next owner will be a spotty little oik who wants something "rapid" to beat his mate's <insert generic chav car here>, so it'll probably end up wrapped around a tree or a lamp post...
DEFINITELY get a specialist to do it. Any old garage, or even a Renault main stealer, will probably do it wrong and mess up the timing / something else.
Plus, a main dealer will charge the GDP of a small African nation to do the job, whereas a specialist will almost certainly be cheaper.
Yes AFAIK.
Still not available yet but I've been assured the firmware update to sort out the dash lights and other standard ECU functionality is on it's way. K-Tec have given me the cable already so once the update is out I'll attempt to apply it to both mine and John's cars.

Same ballpark...
I've got Motul 300v 5w40 fully synthetic in mine at the moment, and TBH I doubt I'll ever buy a different oil for it again unless there's some decent Silkolene stuff on offer at the time.
It's a very good oil and when the car's running anything else it doesn't feel quite the same. I can't...
I had one of those too on BT Cellnet PAYG.
I also figured out how to send free texts accidentally. The trick was to turn the phone off while it was in the middle of sending the message, then switch it back on again. The message would arrive EVERY time without fail but your credit wouldn't go...
Another option is to modify your APN setting for cellular data.
In IOS 4 (not sure about earlier versions) there are APN settings for cellular data, visual voicemail and MMS. You can temporarily change the settings of any of these to disable that particular feature, so you could prevent 3G /...
TBH, there are so many people removing the air con these days because of weight / poor weather / they're sheep / they want an extra 2bhp, second hand air con components for Clio's should be ten a penny.
Be warned though, the boost is very addictive, especially in these cars because they handle the extra power very well. You WOULD want more.
Just make sure you can afford the petrol lol. I did about 60 miles on just over half a tank at the Lincoln meet last Sunday!

Those tints are perfect for a black 1*2. Not so light as to be pointless, but not so dark that it looks chavvy. :)
I have the K-Tec 172 decat. I had it fitted because the standard cat would probably have melted while mapping the car. Shouldn't happen on a standard car though.
It actually made the car slightly quieter when idling, but it's silly loud when driving along.
Yeah something like that. It looked quite epic.
On another note, I used just over half a tank of petrol driving from Ilkeston to Lincoln and back today. That means I've averaged about 12mpg tops! :race:
If they turn up ^
This has the potential to be a really good meet. I just hope everyone doesn't start dropping out at the last minute as is usually the case.

Completely pointless exercise getting a 1*2 at 17.
Get yourself something cheap to have your first crash in, then save up and get a 1*2 in a few years when insurance is cheaper and you've learnt not to drive everywhere like a 17 year old does.
