I'd say so. Unless the mount is fairly new, you'll notice a vast improvment in engine movement and gearstick feel with one fitted.
The only downside is that you get a little bit of vibration inside the car on idle. It's not intrusive though, and you don't notice it after a while.
EDIT: BTW...
^ I took my 106 GTi to the Basford one a few years ago because it kept pulling to the left after I'd fitted new drop links.
It took them 15 minutes to rectify it and get the steering wheel on straight, and if I remember it didn't cost much either. The car felt awesome afterwards, I'd certainly...
The air bag should only go off if the sensors detect rapid deceleration (i.e; a crash will always stop you quicker than you could possibly stop by braking). Therefore, you'll be fine.
That's all good then. Hopefully all will be forgiven when you take it for a spin :)
I thought mine was quite unreliable when I first got it, something was always broken, but after getting a load of stuff fixed under warranty it's only been wear and tear items that have needed replacing since.
It does make a noticeable difference when it's switched off, so it must be quite a lot when removed altogether.
I'll be keeping mine for now though. I hate sweating.
Good to see that you're all actually committing to this. I hate it when people say they're going to turn up then don't bother.
For info, the Pride of Lincoln is just off the A46. It looks like a windmill without a sail - you can't miss it.
If you're coming from Skegness way just follow the...
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs IIRC.
Oh no, I've just checked BBC Weather and it says "Sunny intervals", which I presume means it'll piss it down all day and we'll get the odd rainbow.
The way I see it is that if, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, the difference in AT and IT is 23 degrees, and if 2 degrees increase in temperature equals 1 lost bhp, then the car can't be more than 11 or 12bhp out?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but 317 - 12 is 305bhp? No?
Either way, I'm...
Oh goody. This thread has re-surfaced. I suspect it'll continue as it did before and get locked...
Not really much point. The car looks like a complately standard Iceberg 172 from the outside, and I'm sure you've seen one of those before. Plus I never clean it so it looks s**t in photos...
I was just making the point that half the people probably won't turn up, as is the case at every meet.
Also, you'll probably find that many people won't want to eat for whatever reason, and will stay out in the car park or go for a drive (like last time).
We'd be better off just turning up on...
^ Completely pointless. As with every meet, at least half the people on the list won't turn up.
I'd be very surprised if we got more than 15 people in total.
Really?! They must weigh next to f**k all then. The K-Tec bonnets weigh sod all compared to a standard steel one.
Shame you can't get one for the Ph2 :(
Really bad luck that. Must be gutting for you.
If you're having the cambelt and aux belt changed, make sure you get all the tensioners etc done at the same time. It's not worth risking them failing again.
You say your mate's a Renault Technician, but make sure he actually knows how to change the...
