Rear discs from Renault are about £170 last time i checked lol . Its a pretty easy job though best to order them from Yozzasport and fit / get them fitted :) Dont think its worth upgrading they dont do much...
My mate runs a chemical place so ive been using wash and wax and then the polish which they sell wholesale to car companys etc. It does a good job also my car had that safeguard or whatever its called which seems a waste of time
would be fine if not parked in a yard with 50 trucks running 24/7
Tuning is a personal thing i dont drink and at 25 peopl look at me like i have a tree growing from my head!!!! the same people that say spending money on a car is a waste of money!!!
NEED to see some pics of BENR Festa though !!!!
Trying to keep my black 172 clean is impossible, Usually i will wash and polish it and it shines :) Then Monday i park it at work (truck driver) and after 2 days of trucks going past its totally filthy!!!!
Im hoping you guys in the know can help with some magic potion that will help keep it...
got rubber of a freind but any motor factors will do them cheap, Racerstu is right it uses the top hole and does sit slightly higher but ive got the magnex oval so it looks better this way. As soon as my new backbox arrives im going to re-do it slightly lower.
if you search the forums theres a few posts on updating the origional rubber with a ford item, basically cut out the old rubber and bond in a ford one although mines cable tied and has been on two weeks and is spot on :)
Pics on page two of this thread oh and took about 5 mins to do...
Anyone know the part numbers for rear pads from GSF the car is a 172. Ive opted for brembo front discs greenstuff pads upfront and got a decent price on renault rear discs but cant find pads on GSF
will do, needs new discs and pads anyway :( what started out as removing cat to see how hard it would be to decat to finding out i need new discs and pads all round and a bit of grease, going to be a expensive month :( Also ABS hs gone a bit giddy so it might solve that
had the car up in the air today sorting out a few problems with zorst and noticed the passenger side wheel is quite stiff to turn whilst in the air, the driver side is free and pads both side seem to slightly touch discs?
Its not noticable when driving and i tried braking from 40 - 0 with no...
my magnex backbox was always banging on rear beam , after being told by magnex they dont do a extra bracket for it (they do) i followed advise on these forums and cut out the origional crap reno rubber and put in a ford rubber.
Heres my prototype doesnt hit beam now just bloody rattles on...
Think best / cheapest thing is to order them from yozzasport i was going this route but managed to get them through a mate who deals with renault for £140 discs and pads
Just sorted mine out today took some pics of the mount modified with a ford rubber, Touches rear bumper now so some pics of a 6*4 cut into a bumper would be cool if anyone has any ???
will post some pics of mount and zorst later
Anyone heard of a magnaflow sports cat?
I have been having problems with my magnex exhaust damaging renault mounts becouse i cant get hold of a uprated magnex item, Anyway im gonna make up a better bracket for it next weekend but the cat is blowing now so might try a universal magnaflow...
