My advice would be to buy a phs1, give it a quick service and book a track day with tuition. Take the Standard car out, have a giggle and learn how to drive properly, breaking points apex etc blah blah. I would in all honesty rather pay for better tuition than pay for say more power, bigger...

I bought mine last year for £1000 and i've just bought another phs1 recently.
You can get evo 5's for 182 money these days (5k ish) if you look hard enough, I sold my evo 5 and ended up with a bloody phs1 172 again. I wouldn't touch a phs2 172/182 etc i can't stand electronic throttle Urgggggg....
