This. I've got a buy a house in the next 3-5 years, if I don't I'll be over 30 and that's a bit late. Then I can have a weekend toy - I've got it (mostly) planned out.
I nearly did, but to get the deal I had to get one that was already on order and they didn't have any. It's not the end of the world since the clutch and gear change are both so light and you can move it around easily on the clutch alone. Part of me wishes I'd gone for the 1.4 TSI ACT though.

Yeah are insanely delicate, that's why when I replaced mine I got them from Renspares and picked them up in person.
Could you strip them down and superglue it?
They bolt on - it's the 10mm one for non-sports.
Check your wishbone bushes though, 'cos if they're on the way out it's easier to just swap the arm while it's all in bits any way.
