Hi Guys,
Having a slight dilemma about the car at the moment. Have had a 182 for 2 years, love it. We are now expecting our 1st child :approve: and common sense says the Clio will not be big enough :(.
Just wondering if anyone has run a Clio as the only family car with a baby/toddler? Is it...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Seems like we have outgrown the Clio with a little one on the way :approve:
What should I get for mine?
05 182 with Cup packs
23,000 miles
FSH
MOT due May 2010
Inferno orange
ITG Maxogen
Eibach Prolines
Alloy strut tops
KTR Janspeed exhaust
Group N ECU...
I upgraded my front brakes last year, Pagid Blue pads and Brembo max discs. This combination was recommended by Yozzasport and is excellent.
The pads are pretty aggressive and now I think I need new discs again.
Has anyone run Pagid Blues with Brembo HC as opposed to Max??
If so, do they feel...
Just looking into some new tyres. Was just going for a straight swap and fitting more Michelin Pilot 2's but availability is poor.
Vredestein have been winning tyre tests for a few years so thought I would have a look. They do a Sportrac 3 in the correct size and V rating. I can get them fitted...
Just wondering if anyobody had any tips for the cheapest place to get Brembo Max discs for my 182?
GSF don't seem to list them anymore??
Yozzasport are at £113.56 but hoping to get cheaper?
Defo the best clay bar is made by Bilt Hamber - called Auto Clay.
I've been saying this for ages but because it is not in Halfords no one seems to pick up on it.
Just won the Auto Express Clay bar test too.
Great value big bars and you do not need a lube - just water!
If you have not clayed...
By no means an expert I'm afraid but I have done it a fair few times. I'll write a simple guide when I get the chance.
It is dead easy to do, just very messy. Choice of products is also very important. Waxoyl is okay, the most well known brand but there are better products made by Dinitrol and...
I have owned a few classics before my Clio and hate rust. Because of this, I have got into a routine of rust protection. Mostly under body, inside wheel arches etc.
Question is, has anyones Clio Mk2 started rusting in a particular area?
I am interested to make sure I inject wax in the right...
Fitted it now thanks guys.
The fitting wasn't bad but it was a right pain trying to remove the acoustic valve. Ended up just getting rid of the cold air pipe and leaving the acoustic valve in lace as I couldn't identify which bits to get rid.
Problem caused because I don't know what the valve...
Hi,
I know this has been asked before but I am confused after searching previous threads.
I have bought a 2nd hand Maxogen and want to fit. I am hoping I can just replace original airbox and fit maxogen onto throttle boy and bolt under slam panel - job done.
Do I have to do anything about the...
I sympathise with you, I know a bloke who now owns a Honda powered Lotus Exige but still misses his 172.
Other people should learn from this...the grass is not always greener. Keep hold of your Sport beyond the 3 year itch when you think it is agood idea to trade it in for something else...
I am not a fan of the Euro thing either but I can appreciate that there are different strokes for different folks.
It is wrong to judge people as a chav and after reading JO3's responses, the guy is quite obviously an intelligent fella, so let him be into whatever scene he wants without lazy...
Dynamat weighs a ton! Mind you if you are adding loads of ICE, pressume you guys don't really care about adding extra weight.
I went for another solution with a kit car I have been building - where I wanted good sound and heat insulation without adding the weight.
This stuff -...
Looked at getting a FRP before the Clio. Look great, handle like they are on rails but good ones are rare and pretty expensive for the age. Future classic defo.
2nd vote for the Bilt Hamber clay here.
Wax wise you could do a lot worse than either Collinites or more Bilt Hamber product - the auto balm. A very durable polish and wax in one, brilliant for hiding swirl marks. Either of these are much better value than the Orange Crush but I have not tried...
Try some Autosmart Tardis, better than AG Tar remover. You can get it from detailing world as they are currently selling it in sample sizes for £2.70 for their charity. Should be enough even with only the 150ml bottle. Just need to regisetr on the site...
I have the janspeed with the sports cat and think it is a great system and the noise is just right.
You should feel happy that it is lighter than other systems too with only 1 back box.
I only have experience with the pagids so my opinion may be of limited use but I recommend them with the max discs. Got them fitted last week and think they are great after doing a trip up to north wales. The feel is very good, no fading and there is not much dust.
I found a good solution to this only this week after the same happened to me.
Obviously, easiest thing is not to wash in direct sunlight but I found a very good product to get rid of water marks on windows, paintwork and plastic is turtle wax minute clean. Not sure where you can get it now but...
Just ordered the Pagid Blue and Brembo MAX package from Yozzasport.
More money than I was planning to spend but they sound awesome and Andrews advice persuaded me.
I will let you know how it feels next week after I have driven the Evo triangle!
Excited now
