    clay not working?

Get some auto clay from a company called Auto Balm, can be ordered through Elite car care too. People seem put off because it is not a Halfords known brand but this stuff is great value and unique in that you don't need to use lube - works with water.

That road was so good they used to have hillclimb events on it.

    clay not working?

Agree with this ^^^^ try auto glym intensive tar remover as this is very good on black tar spots.

    My New Clio

Don't be humble about your car mate, just because it is not a Trophy doesn't mean you won't love it. Looks very tidy, must have been 1 careful lady owner!

What colour callipers for an Inferno?

Against all advice I reckon it would look okay too. May try it and if it looks awful, paint them over and deny even thinking of it. I'll PM you with pictures just so I can escape the abuse by posting them up here;)

What colour callipers for an Inferno?

Has anyone with an Inferno painted their callipers? I am going to paint to stop them from looking scruffy but was wondering about going black, silver or gold. What do people think? I think custard yellow would be a nice contrast with the orange but am starting to think I have lost all concept of...

What clay product do you recomend team???

I've just found a great one, called auto clay from Bilt Hamber. The clay is different to all others as you can actually use it with water instead of needing a lube/detailer spray. This makes it easier to use and saves money too! It is quite fine so is nice and safe, the clay bar is also a lot...

Looks nice, great wheels, just lower it and it will look very cool. How shiny?? What do you use to get that shine?

The car that will keep my 182 company

Thanks guys. Cost is a sore subject as it has doubled, my own fault though for changing the plans and getting carried away. Hope to get it finished for under 15k but it should be stonking for that, performance and looks. Same sort of money as a good S2 2nd hand Elise so not bad value, especially...

The car that will keep my 182 company

Thought I might post some pictures of my other car up, it tends to create a reaction one way or the other. I really bought the 182 as a stop gap until this is finished but to be honest, can't see myself getting rid of the 182 now. Anyway, the car is a 1962 Rochdale Olympic. British, glassfibre...

Different Suspension Setups on All Models

They'll be firmer, but no lower on a cup. ?? This is a set of Prolines on my 182 FF with cup packs. They are lower than on the Cup springs, just more subtle than Sportlines, all a matter of taste really. Good ride, better handling, admittedly not much lower but that's not why I changed...

    prolines/sportlines advice

Here we go; this is my 182 FF with Cup packs now fitted with Prolines. Not exactly Apex low but much more 'planted' on the road.

    prolines/sportlines advice

I'lll try and get some pictures of my Cup on Prolines up this weekend - in answer to your question, Prolines do lower. I was surprised how much as I had heard different stories too.

    prolines/sportlines advice

I just fitted a set of Prolines to my 182 last week. It is a FF with Cup packs, the new springs have dropped the car slightly, noticeable to me but doesn't look too low. I have driven around 300 miles around the Cotswolds this weekend and can back up that the handling is now even better with...

    recommended engine oil for 182

Congrats on the 182! I went through a number of threads about this myself when I got my car a couple of months ago. There are loads of opinions you will find on here but some useful info posted by Oil Man I think? just do search. I settled on Silkolene 5w 40 after reading everything. Not cheap...

    Sound deadening

Any of you guys heard of LizardSkin? It is made in the US but you can buy it from Agriemach over here. It isn't cheap but is a very good, lightweight solution if you want the best sound and heat barrier. It is a spray or paint on covering so is a bit more involved than just a sound mat but if...

    new number plate

Love it! Took me about 30 seconds before I went and ordered one myself. Classy, cheap mod - about the only non chavvy thing you can change from standard plates IMHO. Thanks for the inspiration

What parts needed with BMC CDA kit?

Hi, I am getting a bit confused reading about the BMC CDA kit. As well as buying the induction kit itself, do you need to buy an extra cold air pipe to direct cold air in? Sorry if this seems like a stoopid question. Least I am not asking which kit to buy ;) Any insight from someone who has...

182 towed by AA - how embarassing!

I was at Kwik Fit - no tyre is cheap there! Would have been a real waste of money putting the wrong tyre on just to save the hassle of getting towed home, for free. No way I would drive around with 1 odd tyre, can play tricks with the handling. No harm done really, still loving the car!

182 towed by AA - how embarassing!

No axe to grind, just fell foul of the impracticality of my 182 last weekend. Last Sunday was a complete wash out for me and the missus because of the lack of spare on my 182. I never thought it would be an issue not having a spare but I got a puncture after going over a piece of metal on the...

    182 Warning light ?

Mine did the same thing a few weeks ago. I thought it was related to the petrol I used on the last fill up as it seemed to come on straight after that. I took it to a garage and they identified that the exhaust was leaking around the cat. They fixed it easily enough. There have been a few...

Some B*****D keyed my 182 last night

I know it doesn't help but am truly gutted for you. My heart goes out to you. :( I may be going overboard but I reckon in these situations the forum members could set up a fund. On posting up photos of the damage, members could volunteer to each pay £1 through Paypal or something to help...

Picture request of 182 Cup on Prolines

Hi Firstly, I apologise for starting another thread about lowerings springs, Eibachs, Sportlines vs Prolines etc.etc.:o BUT After searching I can't actually find a picture of a 182 Cup that is on Prolines. Can anyone help? I have seen a Cup on Sportlines, looks nice but I don't want to affect...
