i think you don't need to do that mate, i've got mine set (wishbones, arb, dogbone) for cca. 1000 km. no issues. you just need to push them in correctly.
it's not the case because i bought these koni shocks new before 3 years, they are still ok.
i wouldn't go for ap coilovers if i didn't get them + powerflex set for a silly price. now the konis are stashed in my garage.
my previous setup was koni adjustables + standard springs...i tried them from full hard to full soft, every posiblle combination, the setup was ok.
i had them for cca 3 years, now i changed to ap coilovers (with camber adjustment) and i must be honest, this setup is much, much better than my...
I think you can't now get any Racelands for sport.
I had also my thoughts about coilovers and i decided to get german AP coilovers (aka KW V1) - http://www.apcoilovers.com/ap_coilover_details.php?id=274
They have very good reputation in BMW, VW, Peugeot circles.
Excellent build quality, very...
What about this - do you really need a small spot weld between sleeve and wishbone, or not?
i mean can something happen if i don't weld it?
from Powerflex :
"Press the metal outer sleeves supplied squarely into the clean, vacant holes in the wishbone. This must be done starting
from the inside...
What are the correct measures for a ph1 172 from powerflex
Front Anti Roll Bar Bush 23mm
Front Anti Roll Bar Bush 25mm
Front Anti Roll Bar Outer mount 22mm
Front Anti Roll Bar Outer Mount 23mm
I am changing all my mounts now so i wanted to know how the uprated ones feel...my mate borrowed me his gr.n upper right engine mount.
on idle there is some slight vibration, nothing noticable, but when you drive it and it revs past 2500-3000 revs the dash gets lot of vibrations and some kind of...
hello, i have these engine mount numbers :
right side mount - 6000073669
dogbone - 6000073662
left side mount - 8200089697
but there should be four mounts, correct?
if someone knows the number of the missing one.
thanks
thanks mate for the pics...i will cover the lines with thermo-tec shield (it covers to 2000 degrees), but as i said the shield is 60x30 cm, so will it be a problem the take off the black soundproofing material above those 30 cm of the heatshield.
ok, my mate got me this shield from thermo-tec - http://www.thermotec.com/products/13500-adhesive-backed-heat-barrier.html
the size is 12x24, i think this will be ok?
i will take off the old heatshield and put this one instead, so the brake lines are protected...now my only question is can i...
Hello, can i put behind my engine and manifold a replacement aluminium heatshield that covers the heat of cca. 250 degrees?
Is the temperature behind the engine bigger or will this heatshield be enough to get protection to the brake lines?
i think you can't get any raceland coilovers, they have now just some for the non-rs model (58mm).
i wanted to try raceland, but now i decided for the german ap coilovers (aka kw v1-basic).
they offer you in the range of the german tuv front-30-60 (or max 90) and back-15-30 (or max-70), and...
ok you say for everyday driving and some wekeend harsher driving they will be fine?
How low can they actually go-on the site it says front (30-90) and back (25-70)
How much lowering would be fine just to fill the arches, i have the 16" anthracite cup wheels?
Anyone with any info about AP Coilovers
http://www.madmotors.co.uk/ap-coilovers-renault-clio-b-b-2-0-16v-sport-00.html
I've read that they pretty the sam as the KW V1 basic line...they have got good feedback on german BMW, WV forums
i have a powersprint gr.a on my ph1 172 complete system (63,5mm) with decat, and it's very loud+raspy!
I have just one pre-cat lambda so no managment light or whatsoever...so go for it.
