thanks for the info on the mounts...but one more thing, i noticed that my exhaust steel hanger (rear and centre) is only cca 1-1,5 cm sticking out the rubber exhaust mount when mounted...is this ok? can it fall out or? thanks
My mate got a used Oreca gr. A - 63mm exhaust system but instead of the decat pipe there is the original ph1 twin-barrel cat (1 lambda)
is this cat also good or must he get a decat pipe? i think that in the past fred said this is the best cat.
thanks!
if you want you can go also with these - http://www.venommotorsport.com/product_details.php?id=280&manufacturer=AP&category=Suspension. i bought them + complete powerflex set for wishbone, arb and dogbone.
they are the non-inox KW V1, and they are excellent. i have them now for cca. 8000 km (no...
hello, my mate's 172 is sounding like it's running on 3 cylinders. the cables, spark plugs and coilpack are new...but the compression test is showing that the compression on cylinder nr.4 is 0! the other 3 are ok.
any ideas?
no, they (the pads) move just a little on idle. i had this mount in the uprated version, the dash was vibrating on idle and i tough it will explode when i hit 5000 rpms.
hello, is it ok/normal that the upper left engine mount has little movement (in the two side-pads) while the engine is working? the mount is oem and new.
hello i've fitted a new valeo clutch set before cca 8.000 km and now before 1.000 km i fitted a new clutch cable. on sunday i drove the car the whole day and today i got in the car and the clutch now feels much, much softer than before, overall it's very easy to press and depress it. strange or?
hello, i have a kind of grinding sound when the car is cold, it stops when i press the clutch pedal. when the car is warmed up there is no sound. the gears all change perfect, no sound or chrunching. the clutch set is valeo (it is on only for 10.000 km) and the gearbox has new 75w80 oil in...
i've got on my 172 AP coilovers and they are great (quality + handling + hardness). i 've got the clio in nose-down stance, and yes they can go really low-front and back (i don't need the TUV), on the rear the you can only put the finger between the arch and wheel.
and my other setup is : all...
i have a complete new suspension + coilovers. my camber is set on -1.
i've done the tracking and now when i drive the steering wheel is slightly to the right when i'm driving straight. when i put the steering wheel in the centre the car is slightly going to the left.
I've got the german AP coilovers (aka KW V1 basic), they are excellent. The car is now in a nose-down stance and handles perfect (i also have powerflexed wishbones, dogbone and arb).
exhaust mounts all new also, when the car is in neutral it's ok, but when your driving the bar touches the decat pipe every time i shift in 2 or 4 gear.
hello i'v got a problem with my decat pipe and the gear link bar (the black bar).
when i shift to the 2 and 4 gear the black gear bar is slightly touching my decat pipe so the gearstick is vibrating and it produces a buzzing sound...is there any chance to make a bigger gap between the link bar...
i've fitted new coilovers and the top mounts (oem) stick up approximately just under a centimetre from the base they should be flush with. is this ok?
there is also sometimes a creaking noise when turning the wheel present.
would soild top mounts solve this?
the rest of the suspension is also...
my friend got me an aftermarket one from the italian firm akron-malo - http://www.malospa.it/VediMacro/sLang/EN/IDMacro/199/Company/
so i'll give a try
