Worth looking at if it is nearby. The cambelt should be about £250 by a Renault specialist if no a/c. It will need other bits replacing due to it's age though. Take it all into consideration.
Have a look at them when you buy them or ask the parts man. And buy the ones with the wheel bearing already fitted, the chances are they will need doing as well. OE's are plenty good enough.
The oe rears on mine when I bought it were well low, you could really notice some excess negative camber, hence when I fitted the Prolines the back went up a bit. After 5 months of fitting them the height from ground to highest point of the arch is 610mm. at the front and 600mm. at the rear.

The idea of adjustable shocks is you can play around with them to get them just right for you, thats the idea. For me though i would be having them harder at the front as my Cup is very light at the back and twiches a bit on fast cornering, making the shocks softer helps for me. Have a...
The amber light is to warn of emmisions failures/faults and is not fatal to the engine. Mine comes on occasionally when de-celerating at speed, and I think it is because of overfuelling. You may find come MOT time that it will fail the emmisions test. Don't worry about it till then if...
The Sportline or Proline will be ok for you and they are designed for oe shocks. I'm up to 89k miles and on oe shocks with the Prolines, I will change the shocks when they shot. Coilovers are substantially more expensive. As for changing them at the same time, it don't matter, they are easy...
You are probably familiar with the crashy ride over holes and bumps in the road on the standard springs. The Eibachs are progressively coiled, ie. closer at the bottom so they give a little over holes in the road , but stiffen on corners nicely to give a flat ride. I sound like Eibach...
Just giving you something to mull over. Hopefully you'll be changing the suspension yourself, in which case it's easy to do. Buy the Springs on the for sale forum, they are only £70-£80. If you find that they are not what you expected you can go for Prolines and be changing them over in...
The Sportlines will lower your car more than the Prolines and will have a softer ride, as yours is heavier than the Cup 172/182, Are you sure that is what you want on track.
Have alook at these people http://www.broadspeed.com/new_cars/Renault/Clio/25084/2_0_VVT_Renaultsport_200_3_door# They are genuine and have been around a long time.
The OE top mounts are not bolted in to the car, the weight of the front of the car just holds the struts in place. After you have renewed yer bearings and mounts allow a couple of hundred miles for the rubber mounts to wedge themselves back into to the turrets and settle. then have your...
