Re: My cars just been put forsale on pistonheads, even though a got it over a week ag
He's just cloned your car to double his money and give you some grief.
Could be the extreme cold, cold pulleys, idlers, and hard rubber belts, mines being doing that now. As for Todd's, assuming the mechanic HAS changed it for a new belt and tensioned correctly, then it won't harm anything.
The only way to see if it is worth buying is go and have a look. A genuine Cup will have SLI on the oval sticker in the door shut. A/C and cruise are probably options at the time.
Russ, they took a long time to recall you, it's been at least 2 years since the recalls started. Might as well have it done by Renault, it'a all free. They'll be tempting you with a new car as well.
I have bought cars in the past on the understanding that service history, keys & accessories will be posted on to me, of course they never arrived. I won't fall for that trick anymore.
So you didn't keep your car very long Alex, shame there isn't any 5door 182's made.
I would take a look at the inner pads, this is the pad that has the wear indicator, right? The pads do not always wear at the same rate. Other than that, rust, dust etc. may be stuck to any of the pads and gets cleaned off once you are rolling.
I wouldn't expect a plastic spigot ring to take the weight of a car, it should be a metal one. Going by your theory, it seems to only apply to forces that are pulling against the the line of the bolt, not at right angles to it or have I missed something?
The centre bore on the inside of the wheel should be the same as the hub flange, measure it. If they are the same diameter then you don't need the spigot rings, the spigot rings are to take up any space between the Hub flange and the centre bore of the wheel. The important thing is the...
For the upper sensor the nos. on the Bosch box are LS 6046: Lambda Sensor 0258 and Euro Carparts no. is 710 74 5575. Lots of No.s all over the box so I'm sure which one they go by. The web site does not show a lot a stuff they have so it's best to visit them or phone, they will have it. Can't...
They are the same but the wiring is different lengths on the up and down lamdas, so make sure the wires reach the connector. Incidently Bosch Lambdas are £38 from Euro Car Parts with the correct plug.
Since buying the car I have not had this done, the car seemed to drive and pull up straight. I have since fitted new springs and camber bolts and thought it time for alignment. The initial check showed the front toe in at 19deg. WTF! Strange it had no adverse effects. Well after an hour...
There is no set figures for passing the test on Cup rears. The tester is supposed to take into consideration low brake efficiency on our Cup's as shown on the VOSA site "Tester Notes" as for no braking at all, no, I can't see that passing.. In the end it is down to the tester on whether it...
My tow eye is in the spare wheel well toolkit and all the other bits. What is the bent peice of wire used for? looks like it is made out of a coathanger.
I'm 59 next week and you won't catch me in a Honda jazz or other type of shopping car. A 200 Cup or R27 is on my wish list when I take my pension next year. I can't beleive some of my peers and friends of similar vintage who seem to suddenly get old and whingy and scoff at younger people...
