the reason they require connecting to the batt direct is due to the load it creates when using the standard speaker outputs. if you are using rcas for front and rear and subs just use a wiring adapter or modify the wiring loom you get with it to the vehicles stereos loom!!!

there should be a earth point behind the carpet in the boot (drivers side 10mm nut) does it have to be ignition feed or permenant 12v???

sounds like tdc sensor!!! if the led was flahing when you turnt ignition on this would indicate a immob fault!!!

possibly lazer mech reseting itself - had similar noises coing from a lag 2 headunit last week - take it to reno and ask them to send it off to be looked at and possibly repaired - there is now a new warranty method reno have brought in related to radio faults - - it has to be sent back to reno UK

renault wiper blades are sh*t imo - best i have found are vauxhall ones on the my valver and the car regulary cleaned with meguiars gold class shampoo stuff!!!
