CLIP is the laptop diagnosis equipment that renault use!!! - taking the fuse out has removed the main feed to the UCH (conatins the immob system) and has reset it - like i sais sometimes locking and unlocking can reset it too!
sometimes locking and unlocking the car can reset the immob - have come accross that before at work if it wont start after batt going flat or disconnected - sometimes have to plug clip on to reset immob system if any faults are present!
i thought they where ok
had them on the front of my ax gt
got them all-roung on the valver - feel really good
a bidr form work had them on the front of her cup and she rated them really good
no thats me about 2 months after getting it - miss the ax though was a right pocket rocket - i think it was quicker that the clio in some respects - but then again the handling was not all that!!!
i totally agree with what everyone has said - i love the drive and especially the looks.. only had it for 3 months - i have been working at a reno dealer for 8 years now and this car used to be a demo, was sold to a oldish bloke and every time the car came in for work it had loads done < wear...
clio phase 1
the key in the glove box is called a R.A.P.S barrel all it does is cut out the ignition supply (very common to come loose and turn around)
all plip does is the central locking - it has no immob system at all
clio phase 2 and 3
have the immob system tied in with the central...
thats the pret wiring but i noticed the mutts had ago at the air bag too but not snapped the wiring - they might want to re do the repair - they might charge their hourly rate!
the amount of cars that come into our work with dog damage to wiring is amazing - looking at the wiring the grey connector is for pret and the black one is for side airbag as it has a black wire also in the connector which is used to earth the air bag casing
any radios that are still in the 3 year warranty now go back to renault - you take the car in they take the set out > reno uk pic it up > then the dealer gets it back 3-4 days later!
on both sides of the vehicle on both sills underneath there should be sill drains these tend to block up - causing your symptoms and problems - but can be caused from new due to the monkeys with the undersealer spraying too much on
its just cause they have had there first use and u have bedded them in - normally u can bed them in fairly quickly but like you mate says dont use them hard for 200ish miles
