Looking good, regarding the "controversial pipe" chrome heat soaks quite bad in comparision to wrap/black, you can barely touch mine after a spirited drive.
Hope it makes good power, the gen90 will help.
For when my low comp engine is finally done il be wanting to use a running in oil, a friend of mine has mentioned a Lucas bedding in oil that contains copper? :-/ can't seem to find anything on it, any advise as to what's best to use? Or should I just go for a dirty cheap mineral? F4r engine...
Disconnecting it makes no difference, it there for a reason! It will only be temp sensor if it's faulted in the memory, which it will now as you have run it without it plugged in.
There is a plug, follow the loom down the n/s under the car to the front and just before the subframe there should be a grey plug. If you get what I mean lol.
It will never be the same again, trust me, I bought a carbon fibre bonnet from someone on here I was told it was ready to fit, fact was it was fresh out the mould no lacquer, after 3 attempts of doing the lacquer/flatting and prepping ect my painter gave up and we painted it instead, air pockets...
It's probably not when you consider piston rings, end bearings, gaskets, head bolts, cambelt and fluids etc as apposed to a sump gasket and drilling/tapping etc
By the sounds of it I'd get someone to fit it for you lol, if the leads are mixed up on the coil pack knowing the firing order (1342) isn't going to help.
